I'm almost 100% certain it's the shoes in conjunction with all that sticky mat shyt, the shoes have too much lateral grip and the force being exerted on their knees when they plant or do Euro-steps is too much. If you just go through the injury videos, it's almost always with someone planting them having to change direction. Your ankle, and shin aren't going to break so the most likely thing to give as the force travels up your leg is in the knee, all those ligaments ain't meant to have all that lateral force on them.

The shoes have more grip today, knees are exploding left and right.
Agree 100%/ as someone who plays the game a lA ZBo now compared to my younger years I can tell you thall all the hype over a super athletic dunk or them crazy spin crossovers just aren't worth it.
That plus the pace improved shoe and court tech is just too much force on the weak points of the body

At least he's only 19 and should be able to come back from this, and at least he went to the league instead of this happening in college :mjcry:
That's why I'm against forcing 18+ yo out of the job market. True its a private organization but it just rubs me wrong that you force then to get further exploited by the NCAA

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
God doesn't want Chicago to take over :mjcry:

Cry them crocodile tears somewhere else, I'm from NY and in the last decade your City has put out -

Davis
Wade
Iguodala
Shumpert
Grindfather
Patrick Beverly
Jabari

Soon to be Jahlil Okafor, may as well rename the number 1 pick to the Chicago invitational.

Chicago out here salting the earth for everyone else and putting out HOFers and future HOFers like it's a conveyor belt, meanwhile the best player form NY right now, Tobias Harris? :birdman:

MCW still turning over the ball at an alarming rate.
That's the thing though, nobody expected anything out of him and he's greatly exceeded expectations due to being forced into a role as the best player due to the 76ers lack of talent. If they get more talent out of him this time running and being featured on a team may embolden him and make him a better player for the future. May give him the confidence that he can be the man.and he'll just have to learn to play a more controlled game. Way easier to teach a player to dial it back compared to teaching them to be more aggressive.

Then that's even more reason for the team to keep losing until they can get a player of that caliber in. Being a .500 team and that player will never turn up.
Being a .500 team is something they haven't done in now 10 years. It's not like they're gonna win a title even if they find that guy. A playoff berth might as well be the next best thing (not saying Milwaukee should settle for this because let's be real, before last year, there wasn't a real difference between them and the Rockets), but winning a title isn't meant for everyone. Some will take not being irrelevant and embarrassing for a change.

Fam, are you forgetting that the Bucks were the quintessential treadmill team? They already did exactly what you are saying, they fight for a playoff spot and constantly end up with late lottery picks or make the playoffs and where did that get them?

Stockpile the talent now while you have the chance.

They're stuck in the same position now honestly. Either make the playoffs and get squashed in the 1st round or miss the playoffs and get a late lottery pick. They're not going to be bad enough to get a top pick.

If they can't get a good pick what they need to do is consolidate some of their assets (Middleton, Henson, Ersan) and try to get a young 2 guard from somewhere (Stauskas or McLemore), or go after Greg Monroe to add to their team.

They need to do something to offset the possible long term affect this will have on Jabari's potential.

McLemore would be a great fit for them but I don't think the Kings would trade him for a couple of backup forwards.

but that's what I'm saying. They have young talent, TWO potential building blocks going forward (only Parker out of their core was a top 5 pick), and they've shown they can hang so far. Why even bother trying when Parker was healthy if the idea is to suck balls for the next 2 years (in the middle of even trying to keep yourself in Milwaukee as a team?) They were lucky enough to get Parker the first year they went in the toilet. If the message is "even if he comes back and y'all look the same way y'all look now, keep losing" all you're doing is breeding losers. Believe me, I understand both sides of the argument, but while being in the treadmill is the place nowhere wants to be if you wanna win a title one day, there's nothing more pathetic than a young team that loses all the time, keeps losing and isn't learning anything but losing.
