Nothing new sadly

Somebody got shot in campus before I got there in 05 and again before I graduated around 2010

Wish I had a solution because safety has been a huge hindrance to the university and sits in the way of us recruiting and growing

We have all the potential to be in the conversation with the Howards, Morehouses, A&Ts, and Hamptons of the world but we must do something to help our students feel safe and our parents feel good about sending us their children

This could happen at any of the places I just listed, true, but as a due paying alumni, I take this personally.

Thanks, just saw a news story about that. They made a second arrest recently, allegedly of the driver.

Hope law enforcement can clear things up, and find who is actually responsible for the murder, and free this man is he's not the guy.

He was trying to break up a fight related to his frat brother's ex. The ex had a bunch of unsavory folks(I can assume) who started shyt. There was a fight. He tried to diffuse it and got shot. It absolutely is tragic but you folks in here using it as some kind of indictment against HBCUs are looking funny right now. Sounds like something a white supremacist would say but that's par for the course here in tlr.

Used to enjoy SU's homecoming all the time and it was smack dab in Scotlandville(anybody familiar with BR can tell you about this town) but I never feared for shyt.
