Nah. I was only 9 at that time but Snoop wasn't as big as Kendrick is in LA right now lol. Not even close.
Went to the barbershop yesterday, 4 out of 5 cars were blasting GNX lmao
You bugging. From the time Deep Cover dropped till Doggystyle and after, Snoop was the most famous rapper on the planet.

I find it hard to believe that Kendrick is having the cultural impact that Snoop and Pac had on the West Coast at their peaks. Especially when you take out that a large share of Kendrick’s support comes from people who hate Drake. It’s like people who voted for Biden and Kamala primarily because they hate Trump.
Before dissing Drake, kendrick had and still has:

-the 2nd biggest rap album of the whole century (when it comes to charts), ahead of any drake album, as confirmed by Billboard
-the best selling rap song ever
-the longuest chartin rap album ever
-the #1 highest rated rap album ever by critics
-the #2 highest rated rap album ever by critics
-the only pulitzer prize ever won by a non classical artist
-the 2nd best selling rap tour ever as a solo rapper, only topped by Travis.

Fin d it hard to believe all you want, but it's a fact DAMN was already having that kind of impact in the street and shyt had nothing to do with Drake :dead:
How can a large share of kendrick's supporcomes from people who hate Drake (reference to the battle), when Kendrick's DAMN is bigger than anything Drake has done, as confirmed by Billboard, and that album dropped way before their beef?

Make it make sense.

A large share of his supporters are bots and folks paid by the record label to promote him online.

Honestly, he's an average, mediocre rapper super pushed by the machine to make you think he's some elite top 5 rapper.
