All I'll say is it's weird people are holding onto what his dad said when we ALL know for a fact we did a looooot of shyt our parents had no idea about. Not saying Jada did or didn't do xyz but his pop not knowing or being surprised at his lyrics is irrelevant.

This is true however I think he taking heat because it’s not about having both parents at home. It’s about the i came from nothing, got it out the mud persona he put on and that just flat out wasn’t the case. He tried to misdirect to “my mom worked hard” and “my dad did drugs” but that don’t mean shyt. People don’t care that your parents work hard, everyone with a job works hard. The point people are making is that he had a middle class lifestyle at home. I don’t care if your dad did drugs if he was working and providing, there’s plenty of functional drug users. That don’t even make him an addict. And that’s exactly why he said my dad used the drugs instead of calling him an addict. His choice of words is really just making things worse for him.
I don’t care, but I do find it very funny when people have an image and they get caught up. I like dissecting bullshyt when I hear it. You can have both of your parents and you can even come from a pretty decent upbringing and for whatever reason you may still end up in the streets. But don’t lie about it being poor when you weren’t. Hell, don’t lie about shyt because when you get caught, this gonna be the shyt you gotta deal with.
