only in this culture is being raised by 2 parents in an affluent upbringing looked down on because nikkas wanna sell an image glorifying destructive behavior instead of embracing an inspirational upbringing for nikkas growing up in the struggle trying to make it out

the nikka pops was a successful businessman and jada went to private school it's okay he's still one of the most talented rappers we've ever seen y'all will live knowing he wasnt actually doing bids and selling drugs and killing nikkas

I mean respectfully, I have a different bar of what "in the streets" means from most people, so it is what it is.

Styles P the only guy in yhe click who was actually really getting in trouble and even he wasn't a factor. Lotta nikkas go in and outta jail and not real factors. I'm not dismissing who you know or what you've seen, you from there, so its all good. I'm also not dismissing what other people who also said they knew what they were talking about when it came to these guys.

But yeah I was always told Ghost the only one really moving around bit he wasn't no notable figure. As I mentioned I was told all those guys "were around".

nikkas will contort what being "around" or "outside" or "in the streets" means ti them. The point is, while you or I may have understood listening to Jada, he can't be the guy he said he was------>many other consumers of his music took his lyrics at face value. And you know they did because its been 3-4 years with this being a story, so people care about it, and Jada 50 years old defending his image.
Newsflash my guy. Most hood nikkas ain't "notable" figures so I don't even know what that means. The city is too big for shyt like that. I could tell u nikkas I know personally who was wild af but wasn't nobody in the grand scheme of things. But anyone who knew Styles knew that nikka wasn't playin. Simple as that. nikka this my ex girl. She got songs with both Kiss and Styles. This is just a sample of how close a vantage point I know what I'm talking about my boi. Lol.

This is not what its about, g.

If he came out rapping in the imagery of his story mf's wouldn't have an issue. It's about him not coming from a particularly dramatic background;

(This doesn't mean his family had no "struggles" 🤣 everybody has trials and tribulations)

Its about him not having a fukked up background and not being a name outside in the streets but portraying himself as a G while omitting and downplaying his story, but exaggerating his involvement "outside". He 50 years old still fighting for his right to be a character without saying that implicitly.

He the problem here, it's not the fans other than the fact its apparent many of his listeners bought into the character and hence, are disappointed.

Similar upbringing to what has been revealed about Kiss.

But I'll say a difference is that, right or wrong, Cass was active outside. There isn't a question mark as to his activities in the streets when he jumped out. We know he wasn't just talking about shyt he saw or shyt he was around or shyt he "dibble-dabbled" in. He was a full participant.

So in the street nikka olympics, obviously within a section of our culture we care about this topic (I'm no different), Cass is a different guy than Jada.
The point I'm making is that nikkas tryna act like Kiss was some rich kid cosplaying. It's simply not true. Most nikkas in the hood ain't some super gangsta nikkas. They just hood nikkas. Essentially tryna call Kiss a fraud. It's corny. Who the fukk listened to Kiss rhymes and thought they was all real? nikka punchlines was OD af. Songs like Still Feel Me and Feel Me is where Kiss break down his life in a more realistic way.

I already said I'm not dismissing your experiences or closeness to the situation, so there's nothing for you to be defensive of.

I also know you are closer to my age than theirs, and the people who told me about these guys are in their age range. I spoke on this years ago on this site when I spoke on my time in NY. So I'm also not dismissing the accounts of people in they age group who also said they knew what they were talking about.

I don't care enough to say that anyone is lying or anyone is telling the truth, my brother. I recognize that people can have different lenses they view the same image thru....looking at the exact same thing but see something different.

You and I have had conversations in years past and our experiences aren't the same so I also understand that what is considered "street shyt" to you isn't always gonna qualify to me, and its all good. Ain't nothing to be upset over.

My experiences give me a relatively unique view, one thing I've mentioned before, is I believe an ability to read the body language. You can say literally anything....these guys have given thousands of interviews over the course of what, going on 30 years?

I never ever thought to myself, "these some gangstas", never saw it on em. And years later I meet people who confirm what I thought about em. Which, I'm neither a fan nor hater of the click, I liked some stuff, didn't like others, they weren't a big presence in my musical upbringing. But not viewing them as g's never made me look at em crazy, I thought some things were obvious, thought they were always a little overrated musically, but respect their legend. So whatever I thought of their persona didn't affect how I viewed the artistry.

His family wasn't rich, but he grew up privileged.

He definitely was cosplaying, fam. Here's the thing, if you don't grow up as a participant, but get to 18, 19, 20, sometimes older (who knows how old he was), and start using those associations of people you know to get close to the action, its still cosplaying.

You get involved with flipping dope for awhile because you can, carrying guns, all that kinda shyt, but never a full participant, its still cosplaying.

He was signed to Bad Boy by the time he was 19 or 20. Prior to that, we know he was running around rapping earlier and I can believe he was running with cats who were doing dirt, so maybe a teenage Kiss got his hands on some drugs; we already understand he was "around" some guys doing shyt and he was "around" and in the hood.

There are guys of his age bracket who were established as being participants in the bullshyt. Kiss was a guy who rapped who likely got his hands a little dirty.

He sold himself as something bigger than that. At the very least you could acknowledge that much but you defending his honor, not as bad as him being literally fifty years old doing the same 😂
