Who really looks at the world through multiple lenses though? If people did that we'd have more empathy for each other not hate each other so much.
People who are truly seeking answers. I've been through a many different phases and beliefs in my life, I'm still figuring out where I stand, but having studied and questioned various beliefs, theories, religions, and political ideologies has helped me shape my views as well as be, like you said, more empathetic.

And even for those who don't look at the world from multiple lenses, you have to be aware enough to know that you don't have all the answers and that your philosophy is not the only way of life. From these answers in the interview, they don't seem to get that. That's my knock on them, like someone said earlier in this thread, you don't get to be the teacher without being the student, these answers show they haven't learned, understand, and/or want to accept that.

It's like that old quote saying "I know that I know nothing", because as much as you may think you know, you don't. And you will never know the answers to everything.. due to the fact that a lot of it is based on perception. It's the ego that makes you think you can know everything. It's better to be humble than boastful, because you never know what someone can teach you. We all come from different walks of life, I'm sure there's something everyone can teach you. And likewise, there's something you could teach everyone. These kids will hopefully learn. Them being rich is a double-edged sword because the safety-net that is their parents' money eliminates a lot of the things that would otherwise be an eye-opener, but I'm sure if they truly seek the truth, they'll learn the error of their ways.

:yeshrug:I got what they were saying, I understood exactly what they were saying. I don't agree with everything that was said here, and they're definitely out there, but them being weird isn't a crime. They're young. And they definitely seem like they have a thirst for knowledge. Strip the weird antics away and you have two kids who want to find the deeper answers to life. Not many people in general, let alone kids, would even care about stuff like that. I ain't mad at them, they'll grow and they'll learn and change their ideologies as they progress further in life. Let 'em cook.

They seem like very interesting kids. I'd like to talk to them about quantum mechanics.

By the way... you guys know Will Smith has said he is not a scientologist, right?
I see alot of posts talking about scientology.

If you just want hold onto the belief he is (like people saying Obama is muslim) go ahead... but he himself says he is not... so...

For most of it I was :ehh: but then I started to wonder whether the interview was with Jaden and Willow Smith or with Ed Wuncler III and Gin Rummy.

Gin Rummy: I always say the absence of evidence is not the evidence of absence.
Riley: What?
Gin Rummy: Simply because you don't have evidence that something does exist does not mean you have evidence of something that doesn't exist.
Riley: What?
Gin Rummy: What country are you from?
Riley: What?
Gin Rummy: 'What' ain't no country I ever heard of! They speak English in 'What'?
Riley: What?
Gin Rummy: English, m- f***er! Do you speak it?
Riley: Yeah.
Gin Rummy: So you understand the words I'm saying to you!
Riley: Yeah.
Gin Rummy: Well, what I'm saying is that there are known knowns and that there are known unknowns. But there are also unknown unknowns; things we don't know that we don't know.

Didn't read all the comments but I read this the other day then my girlfriend sent me the article and said those kids sound like how I sound when I talk on topics like time the human mind and education. It was weird seeing it written down and reading it from another person, especially youth. Aside from that, I agree. They're young artists and it shows in their speech...

Sound Reasoning
There's some knowledge in their words....that is extraordinary for kids their age. Let's be honest, most kids their age wouldn't even be able to make sense of the some the things these two are contemplating. And by reading some of the responses here, some adults can't either.

At young ages, they seem to be exploring the the power of their mind and how deep they can go in their own experience of the world around them. That their experiences are tied to their conscience experience of their chosen paradigms.

I can't hate on that.

And I like what they said about school. I relate that not only to school but to many things we're told are part of being responsible and successful in life. Such as career, marriage, government, etc.

Peace

300 murders a year
quite honestly it was lot of truth in what they were saying

they just young and need to mature the manner in which they communicate they message. which if they true truth seekers it will come.

would rather have my kids at least trying to speak deep then being airheads enslaved to money women drinks and club life.
