Time exists, as an idea and as a relative tool of measurement. She is refering to experience of time (although not explaining it very well). The phenomenon where a person driving 10 minutes through a diverse and unfamiliar area will experience the entirety of the 10 minutes, at least (it may infact seem longer than 10 minutes to them, actually) while that same person driving 10 minutes to work will tune out the majority of the drive and recall it later as being a shorter trip due to how the brain logs things. An active thinker can spend an almost infinite time in thought in between what is will later be perceived as seconds. Memory is very similar to how our olfactory senses work. The brain only remembers differences between one moment and the next. If you sit and stare at a wall for 24 hours, later you will only recall a few minutes of that entire day.
With olfactory imaging (our sense of smell) we do not actually smell what is around us. Instead, we smell the difference in aroma/odor compared to the last time the brain logged smells. Taste is the same way.
This is why we don't smell ourselves or taste our own teeth or the roof of our mouths, by the way. The brain only 'remembers' change. Unless you are doing new and interesting things, you are doing nothing as far as your brain is concerned.
