I'm getting real tired of your black athlete criticisms. Most of these guys are athletes, not academicians. They shouldn't even be in college in the first place because that's not where their talents lie. They should be in academies pursuing their dream, like soccer players do in Europe.

i've noticed his change of attitude toward black athletes. i just guess it was some new internet act the guy is working so i skip over him sometimes

His best and most likely bet at a lucrative career is football. If you had that option you'd pursue it too. Just because he gets some bachelor's degree from some no name school doesn't mean a successful career is signed, sealed and delivered either. These days a bachelor's doesn't mean shyt by itself, especially from a school like that. So don't hate these athletes for pursuing their trade, especially those of this kid's caliber. He's pretty much a guaranteed first round pick...wtf is a sociology degree or some bs going to do for him?

Totally agree, but EVERYONE needs a backup plan and education is always a great one. Unfortunately far too many of these cats (especially football) come from backgrounds where money management is "shaky" at best.

I think dude's supporting cast just hasn't been nearly as good this season as it was for the last 2 years. Melvin Ingram and Clowney together were a force. Couldn't double team one without the other living in the opposition's backfield. Plenty of those sacks they both were finishing were a result of the other's pressure. When Clowney would force the QB to step into the pocket, Ingram would be right there. When Ingram brought pressure down the middle, it'd be right into Clowney's path. By himself, Clowney is what you'd need in an edge rusher, any front 7 that's missing an edge rusher would be significantly better with Clowney than without. I think the hype is warranted because as a prospect his ceiling and floor are phenomenal. An edge rusher alone can be overvalued on the outcome of a game. Just look at Khalil Mack vs Baylor. Mack alone couldn't stop Baylor from putting up 70 points on them. It's too easy to game plan vs one guy on defense no matter how good they are. More reason to believe scheme and supporting cast make a front 7 disruptive, not just one guy.

Also they lost their d-line coach to Florida this season who has two first round caliber prospects at DT and RE. Maybe losing him affected the rest of the defense's ability to put pressure. That's why if you're a franchise looking to start from square one the choice would be Bridgewater unless he did horrible, no matter how Clowney's season turned out. A QB by himself will have more impact on a game than a DE on average. A DE's role is closer to being one dimensional than a QB's is (emphasis on putting pressure, and setting the edge). Now I think you can build around or make Clowney a centerpiece to a defense, but you can't win games and throw a QB off his game with simply just Clowney.

So JaDeDe wasn't in all the Sports Science videos, at the ESPY's, in all the videos for ESPN for Heisman...dude wanted the attention, but didn't come into the season in shape and now he don't wanna play because he's thinking about "his future" :aicmon:

Try to have it both ways brehs

you said that like he got paid for that shyt, like it was his idea to be on those shows...espn did all that for ratings & money...they the ones that lead the way in creating the media monster clowney supposedly became, and now they the ones trying to lead the way to rid the innocents of the same monster...they the ones trying to have it both ways, but it's his fault? lol get the fukk outta here with that bullshyt....you sound like any owner, coach, and/or exec that see their meal ticket leaving; and since they cant do shyt about it and gonna miss that money, they doing everything they can to destroy the value of said ticket...

you really said he was all on espn shows like he was calling them up...what the fukk?!? lol

I can understand both sides.......I mean this dude is literally 100% risking his body each week and his body(athletically) is what's gonna provide for him and his family the next 10-15 years in the NFL and for the remainderof his life. In 6 months or so, he'll be set for life financially.....but until then, in a split second, that can all end on the field. Then who's gonna care about him? Spurrier? No. South CArolina? No. The fans? No. The NFL? :heh: Hell no!

On the other side tho.....he's NOT the only one with top pick potential. There's QB's out there risking themselves every game, there's WR's, RB's, other dominant linemen, etc. Nobody else is pulling a "I'm hurt, coach."

The human side of me doesn't blame him.....the football side of me thinks he's a chump. :pachaha:

That's why Spurrier was backpedaling like hell yesterday.

Dude basically said he and all SC fans should be grateful he played for them and made the school so much money.
Some SC big wigs whispered in his ear and told him he's gonna scare off future recruits if he throws Clowney under the bus like he did. He had to backtrack for the future of the football program

Plus he saw what happened to fellow teammate Marcus Lattimore snapping his leg in half last season. Getting a potential career ending injury in college has to weigh heavily on his mind

Don't know if it was mentioned already, but Clowney has a $5 million insurance policy protecting him against career damaging injury for this season.

That's obviously less than what he stands to make in the NFL but it's something. It's not like he'll be broke if he gets hurt. Also South Carolina and their boosters will get him a job if anything. I remember a few years ago so some big name receiver for Alabama broke his leg real bad during a game which ended his career. The the school made sure he got a job and everything. There it was on espn I think.

Same thing I thought, I mean, what Spurrier did made no sense, after seeing that.:wtf: why would any parent who actually cares about their kid, want to send their kid to play for him.

I hate Black athletes in college football sometimes.

If you went to college and actually tried to pursue a degree instead of just sports, you wouldn't have to worry about what you would do if u blew your knee out.

You sound like a fukking moron. So if he blows his knee out and loses his chance at an NFL career, its ok because he can fall back on his sociology degree? :heh:

You are full of shyt friend.
