Black thought is considered one of the best writers in the game by every top tier MC in the game. If there was even a whiff of dude having ghostwriters that shyt woulda came out a long time ago. He's worked with tons of artists in the industry. It's comedy how y'all are always trashing these gossiping ass ho's. Now one of these ho's comes out rambling and having a nervous breakdown and all of you eat that shyt up.

I mean this bytch trying to trash commons failed relationships when she admittedly cheated on her husband with talib who she turned around and called a creep:mjlol:.....it's pretty damn obvious she's having a meltdown. There's a reason all of the artists she mentioned are still cool with eachother and she's all by herself and miserable. The bytch prolly been crazy for years. The fact that y'all are actually giving this bullshyt the time of day and the mods even upped this shyt is pathetic. The coli is fukkin trash now:scust:
Black thought is one of my favorite rappers too *sees your avi* but a lot of y’all are acting like children when it comes to these dudes personal lives and it’s hilarious to me. The thing that set her off was referring to Malik b as some oils having nikka and not a phenomenal lyricist and roots member. As well as a series of performative actions by them that weren’t seen as genuine... in addition to the losses she’s experienced it’s all came to a head

When Hub, Rahzel, and Hub left the group it was never the same. And Kahmal bouncing was like the last straw. :mjcry:

Kamal left the group?

These exposals are ridiculous. Literally everyone in this thread has ex-homies, ex-girlfriends, co-workers, or even family members who could tell stories that would paint is in a negative light. We could all find people who'd say we ain't shyt.

This is like when a dude who got cut out of rappers circle airs out how so and so who knew the rapper is still living in the projects. The reality is they're airing things out because they failed but are trying to appear honorable. Jag doesn't care about Malik B. She's mad she's been forgotten. That's her own fault.

Bottom line is we don't know these people and never will. I'm not gonna think differently of them because of what Jaguar says. I only know the product they put out. Their personal lives are irrelevant unless they're doing something way out of bounds.

Who's surprised at conscious rappers smashing white chicks? Who else are they fukking when they're touring Europe? They barely have black people at their stateside shows.

Above the fray.

But he basically ADMITTED to ghostwriting in this old HipHopDX interview!!!

So either he is lying now or was lying then.

Dice Raw Releases First Official Single In 10 Years, "100"

===========
“[The song] is more important to me than any single I ever release because it’s really an incredible thing to look back at a 14-year career and see where I’m at now. There’s never really been another person in Hip Hop like me, know what I mean? I first came out on [The Roots’] ‘The Lesson’ in 1994, [and] didn’t drop my first solo project for another six years, and after that didn’t release a solo project till now…10 years later.”

While Dice has weathered a bumpy road, the artistic triple-threat burried maintained his relevance and his craft through staying tucked away in the recording studios of Philadelphia. “During all that time I was still relevant, because I was in the lab writing music that made it to huge levels of success, and nobody even knew I was involved. Because there was such a gap [between albums], I feel like putting this single out, and following up on it with the full project, The Greatest Rapper Never is a now-or-never situation for me. I’ve got so much versatile

Kamal left the group?

I think he left and came back. For a long time, I just stopped seeing him in their performances and appearances. The last I saw, he was performing with them again. I don't know his whole story, but according to Jaguar, they always treated him as the stand-in nikka. She said he started as the stand-in nikka for Scott Storch, and now he's the stand-in nikka for James Poyser. It makes sense, tbh. On another note, I wonder what happened to the bass player from back in the day who always had the chew stick...

EDIT: From Wikipedia... Kamal Gray did not play with the Roots on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon between April or May and early September 2012. His absence was not publicly explained, however on the September 17, 2012 (NBC's 'Late Night' 700th) episode, Gray returned to the group.

I coulda sworn it was longer than that (like maybe a year or two), but I knew I remembered an absence. They still be keeping his ass wayyy in the background, though. Although Kamal has been with them from the 90s, I can understand why they brought in James as the main keyboardist. A Tonight Show type of gig requires the most polished musicians. That's not to shyt on the brother Kamal, but James Poyser is James fukking Poyser.

How is Kamal a stand in when he's been in the group since 1995? Poyser joined in 2009. He's nobody's stand in.

Leonard Hubbard was the original bassist. He left after he got cancer.

Jaguar wasn't around The Roots that long to know the ins and outs of the group.

I've always like Kamal, and I don't personally view him as a stand-in calibur musician.

Jaguar was touring with the group on a daily/nightly basis long enough to know a lot more than us Coli nikkas :hubie:

I didn't know the good brother Hub had cancer. Damn.

Does she come across sane to you?

I don't wanna just write her off as crazy but I'm asking you for your opinion.
She's not crazy I'd say but she's definitely an extremely angry, jaded, and jealous person. I think it's to the point that she's got 15+ years of pent up frustration and it's making her a little crazy. But she's definitely not crazy crazy as she's very coherent and lucid with her speak.

That's not to say she doesn't have some legit grievances. But she needs to take some accountability. She had opportunities most people would dream of. She's oppened up for some of the biggest and greatest hiphop/rnb acts in existence. She's been on tour with them. She did the JayZ unplugged. Had a Coca-Cola commercial. If she couldn't make shake from all that then it's possible she went somewhere wrong in her career or maybe it just wasn't meant to be.

Also on the ghostwriting
Still makes no sense as there was rumblings that Drake had ghostwriters years before the QM situation. On social media, message boards, etc.

I remember people on KTT asking "who is Anthony Palman?" because he had writing credits on every rap song on two Drake albums. Think it was "NWTS" and "Take Care".

Come to find out years later it was Hush. And then on top of that and the QM situation Nickeleus F. admitted he wrote an un-credited verse for Drake. Then you got other stuff like the Shi Wisdom rumors, etc.

Compare that to Black Thought who has never had even a single accusation of using ghostwriters and it's apples and oranges.

Fred.

Thought even said in an interview YEARS back (this was during the Money Making Jam Boys era) that him, dice, truck north, and P.O.R.N. always have writing camps together and that they compete to write the illest lines. Sometimes Thought would use a Truck line or Truck would use a Thought line. But NOBODY was writing full verses for nikkas to use or doing Drake style reference tracks.

Thought is one of the illest writers in the history of Hip Hop. His pen is NOT to be doubted.

Only thing I remember about Jaguar Wright, honestly, is how hard she was going for Jay on the Takeover unplugged.

U was there? I mean Dice Raw already shut her shyt down about Black Thought.
I wasn't but I know someone who was and most of the stuff Jag put out there, this source already filled me in about the shyt years ago. I was just too naive to believe it at the time.

So when I reached out to this individual today about it, they was like I told you

Edit - And btw Dice Raw is lying
