Jameis will be fine going forward. He just needs to work on consistently moving the safety and get used to NFL speed. His decisions last night were sluggish. That said, I did see some arm strength, pocket movement and deep ball expertise from yesterday.

Mariota haters trying to defend Jameis's performance today.

I want these two guys to be the stars of the league...but after all the unnecessary shyt Mariota took yesterday, it's fun as hell to see the haters have to backpedal like motherfukkers saying, "It's only the preseason, ya gotta give him time!"

Of course it's only the preseason. These are two rookie QBs forced to start in their first year - they're going to have shaky moments all season long. Give them both a fukking break and stop making all these stupid judgments based on nothing.

That's because Mariota's passer rating was decent. He completed every fukking pass other than the pick....even with the pick and no TDs, finished with a 76 for the game. Not that it means shyt because its the fukking preseason.

A pick and the fumble on the first two and then hit everything.

2-9 with a pick, 2 sacks, 2 bobbled snaps on the first SIX drives.

You seriously would take Jameis's start over Mariota's?
It just shows nikka on the coli is no better than the media they hate. Whom ever they want to fail they exaggerate and blow up any missopportunities and faillures and give passes to who ever they want to succeed. The difference is that coli nikkas ain't the Media parading as this objective force of journalism, and they should be better in not creating storylines and actually report them. I mean its the fukking pre season.

You see that too? People are so quick to overreact here and be the first person to call someone a flop just so they can bump up an old thread and say :umad: "I was right"! :snoop:

I just watched Mariot's debut and literally his throws looked like Oregon's plays. I actually say some Oregon stuff in that Tenn offense. I wonder how that's going to work when teams start game planning and Mariota has to read a defense.

It's going to take a while for the Bucs receivers to get used to Jameis anticipation throws. I saw some great reads. Had Jackson come back to the ball thrown over the middle on a deep stop, it would have been a completion.

Lots of good ahead of Jameis

I don't think the reaction to the fukked up actions of the media are one and the same.

My point is people will show their biases it's only natural, however the coli does not have a responsibility of objectivity like the media does. On the coli for the most part we express our opinion on how we feel about certain players , good bad blaze blaze, the media is out there shaping opinions and narratives.

I didn't expect him to look particularly good in his first preseason game but dude looked pretty damn bad. Looks awkward in the pocket, bad mechanics. I still think he'll be good eventually tho.

Does Lovie get fired at the end of the year, assuming the Bucs are as bad as I think they'll be?

This post should be stickied.

Nobody can call themselves objective, then not be objective.

The media is obviously very extreme and bias at (most) times. If anybody wants to counter it by going the other way, then they're not being being objective either. You can't have that title.

People will try to be sneaky with this too, but it's funny because they're not fooling anybody. If the media isn't fooling objective posters here, they're not either.

For example: The media blasts Winston, so they blast Mariota. The other way is easily seen too: If you downplay Mariota's faults, then turn around and criticize Jameis for the same thing. Give credit to one while not doing the same to the other for the exact same thing. Etc.

They think they're really fooling any knowledgeable posters?

tl;dr: Call them (the media) out, fine, but don't leave the middle either. Once you start leaning the other direction, you're no different than them. You can't fight fire with fire and say you're calling it down the middle. People know.
