Been rocking w/ Winston since the FSU days, but Im riding w/ Fitz for now.

Im also thinking long term, if Winston doesn't have the #1 spot locked down by seasons ends, no way he can demand to be the highest paid QB in the NFL.

We can have our QB of the future w/o over paying for him like the Vikes did w/ Cousins and the 9ers did w/ Jimmy G.

As long as we can keep this OC we are close to be legit SB Contenders.

Adding 1, or 2 pieces in Free Agency and having a solid draft next year and well be in the thick of things in 2019.

Bucs need a lil more talent on D. Maybe draft a top corner or safety.

I agree, When Conte got that stiff arm from hell, my 1st thought was Whitehead would not have gotten done like that.

A lot happened t/o the course of that game, but if we make that tackle, we more than likely win the game.

For the reasons listed in OP Jameis should be the starter ...

problem is that you have a coach who knows he's likely getting fired if he doesn't win this season so he's going to ride the hot hand.

Also would be easier if Fitz hadn't somewhat led a comeback yesterday ... even though he shytted the bed on the last drive and was the reason they were down.
Fitzpatrick isn't gonna save the coach. If Winston doesn't work out the coach is fired anyway. Coach needs to sit down with Winston and break it down that both of them will be gone in less than 2 years if this doesn't turn around.

Playing Fitzpatrick is delaying the inevitable. It basically means Winston failed and he won't survive till the drafting of the next franchise QB.

Winston is just much more talented.
Yet has never done what Fitz has these past 3 games :francis:
2 ints against the Steelers that weren't his fault, and other than that horrible pick 6 Fitz has been playing far too well to just instantly bench for a dude that has just been inconsistently "alright" before he got suspended

Winston has messed up though and it's not like Winston been lights out the past few years
Don't watch games brehs

Jameis QBR has been going up the last 2 seasons. FYI. Statistically he has been getting better.
Exactly. The only stat that may have lessened barely last season was TDs and that was with 3 games missed due to injury. His last 6 games were pro bowl level

It's like when Wentz came back Super Bowl MVP Foles went back to the bench because he's the back up period. Fitzpatrick is the back up. He's been in the league 14 years. He's not even close to a solution. If Winston isn't the long term solution then cut him or trade him but to disrespect him like this is disgusting. That's supposed to be their franchise QB and they're entertaining the idea of starting a backup over him. It's like CC said here with no hesitation you start him.

Why would you take a chance since he has thrown three 400 yard games gotta keep riding that until he turns back to fitztragic

Because this is short term thinking that isn't helping long term. Fitzpatrick is a known quantity with years of a track record. This is what he does and it's not the answer. It won't save anybody's job.

Like I said the coach is doomed if Winston doesn't work out so might as well just go all in on him now and get it over with.

Thats assuming they still want jameis long term..Fitzpatrick isnt there future but hes a perfect stop gap for year or 2 this is the perfect out for them to move on..no GM is giving jameis franchise qb and guaranteed money breh
