Have you read Tiger Mom's book? The mom whose children all go to Ivy League schools? She doesn't emphasize diversity or travel; he emphasizes homework, music lessons, learning, math, reading, etc all from an early age. Civil. people don't get to file criminal charges, only the government (i.e. state attorney's office) can bring criminal charges. the FL SAO decided not to charge winston criminally last year because "we didn't think the accuser's credibility would stand up in court"

The difference in the duke case is her name was revealed because it entered a criminal trial and was thus public record

There's also no legal reason for the media to not publish her name. It's an editorial choice made because she's a student and young. It's unlikely that they would not publish her name is she had been a literal whore like Kobe's accuser.

try reading Freakonomics. They devote an entire chapter things that are correlated to future success of children.

its an interesting, if depressing, read.

the tl;dr version is that most of the things that parents do don't have any significant outcome on the success of a child's success so long as the parents aren't outright neglectful or abusive. The strongest correlations tended to be with what the parents were, rather than what they did. (i.e. being born to an educated mother who didn't stay at home was more strongly correlated with success than being born to an uneducated mother who did stay at home)
