Yikes, that's GOTG in the bushes. Gunn as a writer had a major part in why the movie was what it was. Expecting this to Justice League tf out of the production of GOTG Vol 3. Wouldn't be surprised if they bring Whedon in this time too.

I honestly would be happy if they gave every Marvel Franchise except Black Panther to the Russo's to direct. And even with Black Panther they could be part of the second unit for the fight choreography.

Yeah, you can't just plug anyone cheap director in there and not miss a beat. It won't happen cause he already dealt with Marvel's shyt but Edgar Wright would be able to keep it moving with no problem. shyt maybe since feige and Marvel have more power and there's no perlmetter to ruin shyt now, they can make it work.
Ant-Man & GOTG are really the only current marvel properties that work with Wright's style or maybe X-Force or Deadpool once they fox deal is done.

Ragnarok has better momentum going forward and made slightly more at the box office than the stumbling GOTG 2 so it should have greater priority, and I wouldn't want his creative juices to dry up working on a new guardians film when he created a new direction for Thor.

I'm a fan of goddards work so I have no problem with him staying on, I just don't know if Marvel/Disney will be keen on keeping the directors Fox hired over the transition is complete.
