They were prompted and provoked until they got frustrated and said some wild stuff and yall ate it up. Yall aint pay attention to the 100 different interviews where people kept irritating them about it. I aint sticking up for nobody and I aint saying it was cool to say anything about our women (I love yall btw ) but, when you got 2-3 kids, a happy home, a great relationship with your wife and yall been together for years, its disrespectful as hell for a hundred journalists keep asking you "wouldn't you have been more happy with a black woman?"

Don't take it out on black women because interviewers are prompting you. I would be a damn fool to go out of my way to support someone who has a clear disdain for me just because of the race I was born. I don't have anything bad to say to either of them, but don't expect black women to warmly receive you when you talk shyt about them in the media. And yes you are taking up for them. It's cool. Also, you still didn't provide any examples.

Black woman dates/marries white man, her career usually gets better. Sanaa Lathan, Kerry Washington, Halle Berry, Gabrielle Union, Zoe Saldana, Paula Patton (nobody cares they met in high school). Hell, Black Men might call them a few names, talk about it for a few days but, outside of that, we let it go.


Black man dates/marries a white woman, he's vilified and his career goes to shyt. I wont even post examples. I'mma just use Denzel since yall want to go there. That dude aint kiss or have a romantic scene with a white woman for years because he know what was good. Halle, Zoe, Kerry and Sanaa out here having demonic, porn star sex (e.g. Scandal, Monster's Ball, any Zoe Saldana movie) with their white co-stars while Denzel was terrified to even kiss a white broad but, there's no backlash for black male actors? Yea, aight

I believe these are two separate issues though. While I believe the everyday black man and women complaints about treatment when it comes to interracial dating is overstated, it isn't a good career move for black male movie stars. Not necessarily career suicide but Hollywood is ran by white men and white male viewers generally don't want to see that screen.

It wasn't good for Charlie Strong when he went to get hired as a football coach in SEC. When the press release at the beginning of the season came out for SEC football coaches everyone's wife and kids were showcased except Kevin Sumlin whose wife is white.

I will say this the overall reaction to shows like Scandal is weird. On one hand I read a lot of bw stating how happy they are to have one of their own showcased. On the other hand the show isn't groundbreaking. It still upholds white male privilege. He gets to smash, still married and still president and she with all that education and prestige is a jumpoff. ..This isn't career suicide for her though. She's gained more white guy followers and black women supporters, but I wouldn't care too much about the opinion of most of those black women because they were already on their way.

You don't know what you are talking about. The general consensus among black women is as long as he doesn't bash black women we don't give a damn. Dating outside your race does not equate to hating women of your race. Only extreme people think like that and I haven't come across very many people like that. I know you want black women to be upset, but we don't give a damn.

Start this discussion with the same pics on female dominated message board you will get the same response. You may get a response a two about her lack of looks but that is the same response that black men in this thread have expressed.
