Yung Yogurt
Culo Season

can you reference the exact post because have already quoted the posts in that thread that were thanked/dapped the most and they were in support of Michael Ealy and said they wouldn't boycott him as along as he didn't bash black women.
Most people LOL'ed at the above post and maybe 10 people thanked it and some people even groaned it. Then someone responded with this (which was thanked a lot):
Thanked a lot:
who cares about them daps/thanks and all that other shyt![]()
The purpose of that thread was to list those who bash black women. This thread has nothing to do with those who date interacially.
& as far as I am concerned, that thread has not caused anyone's career to die...
That thread title stays boycott black woman bashers. Should those women support people who have publicly bashed them because of their race? I'm confused. Would you?
We were talking about the Michael Ealy thread which is relevant to this discussion. Is there some reason you are avoiding that thread?
Let's be real though. As a black actor you are seen as a sex symbol as well. Part of that is an inquiring mind into the kind of women that actor dates. The fact that thread even exists is pretty sad, because if any black person wanted to boycott another black person's art because of their dating preferences or a few negative comments, that black person would have to live as a monk.
That would mean no Nina Simone, No Diana Ross, or Donna Summers or Maya Angelou, no Frantz Fanon etc.
Why is not supporting someone because they dislike you because of your race bad?
There is no thread about boycotting anyone for dating preferences. There is a thread about Michael Ealy getting married because that is a celeb gossip site, and the first post and most of the subsequent post were congratulatory.
There is another thread about boycott certain people because things they've said. Those are two different threads. If you read the original post in the boycott thread, it specifically list news articles and videos where those men sad derogatory things about black women. That thread is NOT about dating. Marcuz is making stuff up.
I have to include colorism in this as well. With colorism, they are deeming the dark-skinned black women as not good enough while objectifying light-skinned black women (not for who they are but for what their complexion represents). Both are insulting, IMO.

and y'all aint never going to find black women OR black men trying to boycott sites like Beyond Black & White the Premier Online Magazine for the New, NEW Black Woman
That website has me conflicted. I have no problem with interracial relationships but I do realize that if a BW has a child with a WM, that child of color will be raised under the guidance of a WM.
If a WM has a son of color can he truly prepare his son for the injustice he will face at the hands of people who look like himself?
@KenyaDoll I would like to hear your thoughts.
