What is crazy to me is the amount of black women with white men in hollywood and that never gets called out. So when a brother dates a white or non black woman he is a sellout. but when a black woman dates a white man she is expanding her optioms and doing something special for black women.

Let's be real though. As a black actor you are seen as a sex symbol as well. Part of that is an inquiring mind into the kind of women that actor dates. The fact that thread even exists is pretty sad, because if any black person wanted to boycott another black person's art because of their dating preferences or a few negative comments, that black person would have to live as a monk.

That would mean no Nina Simone, No Diana Ross, or Donna Summers or Maya Angelou, no Frantz Fanon etc.

you should be insulted by the fact they preach submissiveness, femininity, and unwavering trust when dating white men. they've got a book out called "how to swirl", the first instruction is to "ditch the black attitude"

which is why black women act completely unfamiliar when they're with white men, but a lot of us naturally get the unwanted sass.

i wouldn't have a problem with it either, if i were a white man interested in black women. but acknowledging you have a shytty attitude, then telling black women to abandon it IF they want white men is strange.

we can't even get the best treatment from many our own women. then they act confused when black men say they have attitude problems. only for them to completely disregard it when a white boy comes along.

We can agree to disagree because the original post is about derogatory comments those people made against black women. You can make it about dating if you want because the thread evolved, but the basis/foundation of that thread are all the clips and articles she posted.

Again, the majority of the people in a thread directly about IR, congratulated or thanked posts that congratulated Ealy.

I also disagree with them telling BW to ditch the attitude to attract a WM but I support the statement in general.

I do feel that there are insidious folks behind the BW find a WM site because it is a pairing that you rarely see and it seems modern media/culture is trying to make that pairing common.

That website has me conflicted. I have no problem with interracial relationships but I do realize that if a BW has a child with a WM, that child of color will be raised under the guidance of a WM.

If a WM has a son of color can he truly prepare his son for the injustice he will face at the hands of people who look like himself?
