Some people simply just don't like the song, you don't have to juelz for reasons. Off the first listen I don't think their bad, coulda did without the prince knockoff, but easily her weakest singles imo.
That's your opinion... but I think the music is great and I love her evolution. The album is going to be even greater. April 27th is going to be a wonderful day. :D

As for the songs,Make You Feel is clearly a Prince knockoff in a way and I don't like it cause it don't show her. It's like an imitation and her and her team is better then that derivative shyt she trying to do here.
As for D'Jango Jane did Jidenna write that one?

I like that one though. It's not up there with her prior works but it makes me wonder what she has coming next.

I peep that, it was a clear Prince knockoff and she been original with her stuff since Archandroid. I hope she don't water down or sell out.
What's wrong with being inspired by Prince? Especially Jane being inspired by Prince. You must not know how close they were before he passed.

I know he took a liking to her, trust me I know and he was on Electric Lady but it's not true to her. It came off as her trying to be prince and an imitation rather then just her using a small bit of inspiration to maker her own. The song also wasn't that good when you look at the fact she brought us Sincerely Jane, Neon Valley Street, Say You'll Go, Cold War, It's Code and etc etc. This is not on the same level.
With that said I listened to them again and I like the second song but it might alienate the fandroids. At the same time it is what it is and people grow and change.
I'm very aware of their relationship, stop projecting onto people. Nothing wrong with being inspired by prince, but she's better than that. Archandroid is the best album of the 2010s imo. Janelle being Janelle >>>> struggle prince.
This would be cool as a non album cut but naw, she already set the bar too high.
