Yo this is one of the best r&b albums I've heard all yr. The shyt crosses genre's and compliments multiple era's in music. I honestly dont get the hate. Im far from a prince fan but dude cosigned her. He's been in the game since forever. She has multiple instruments background vocals and vocals that sound like young michael. And she can spit. Wtf. I just dont get it. Yes she's all over the place. I think thats awesome. Somebody like kanye who try to stand out on some of his albums and that shyt dont even come together. Janelle is diverse without even tryin. I understand if ya not feeling her or watever. But give some examples. I think its a cool experimental album. I gotta hear her earlier stuff.

She doesn't suck, she's honestly very talented but I don't like her...she just doesn't make music for me and that's cool.

I've just come to grips with the fact that she's one of those people that I can look at and see the talent and appeal but can't really fukk with her. I think a big part of it is is that a lot of the older genre's of music she tries to draw from is shyt that I would rather listen to straight up instead of her retro/re-fried version of it...it's almost like she's being crowned for originality via imitating everybody which is kinda weird, but that's what's setting her apart from everybody I suppose so it makes sense.
