Well I dont really care about the "analytical jibberish".... My eye test tells me prime Bron would physically house Kobe. Plus he's a better playmaker. IDC about the opinion of Dudley and some of these other Kobe contemporaries. The war was already lost with most of these fools years ago... Kobe already mentally and physically dismantled cats like Dudley. He took their will to win or achieve anything. Lebron on the other hand...kept his head down and persisted thru all obstacles. Now he has surpassed Kobe and is on his way to positioning himself next to MJ. Something Kobe could never do. Forever the GOAT (and low-key Shaq's young boi ). You act like these 2 statements are mutually exclusive.

Just cause Kobe is an a$$hole doesn't mean he can't also be the toughest player to guard.

This only makes the case for Kobe being the best since Jordan even stronger. His peers don't even like him personally but they know on the court he the baddest nikka to do it.

The logic is the same I keep hearing players say. If you're guarding LeBron the scouting report says you give up the J and if he beats you with it nobody's mad at you. With Kobe, KD and them you have to get up in their grill so you have no out. But as we see these days LeBron is fine with putting up 6 or 7 3s a game if you back off him and he'll drop 30+ with little effort

The other major reason LeBron doesn't get as much respect from his peers as Kobe is the fact he needs screens to get off. Kobe rarely used screens. He mostly attacked dudes one on one in isolation. LeBron needs pick n rolls to get off and he's also more passive and relies on his teammates to give him space to get into the paint. If LeBron ain't passing his game suffers cause defenses can collapse on his drives.

Kobe is the complete opposite. He can dominate regardless of the performance on his teammates. He also is not reliant on picks to score offensively. This is a major reason the players give him the respect he gets. Its alot harder to dominate the game without the help of screen and pick n rolls than it is to do so. Plus Kobe's overall skill level is much higher than LeBron's. LeBron is more physical freak while Kobe is a skilled assassin.

Both could be true. I think the thinking is that Kobe is a threat to shoot every possession, even when triple teamed. So there is a pressure to guard him all the time against the shot. Bron might make you feel a bit more comfortable because of the perceived pass first mentality. When you give up 35 to Bron it might have been on 19 shots so you look at the box score like how did that happen. When you give up 35 to Kobe it might be on 27 shots. So that stress to guard him is always heightened because he is gonna take shots all night.

If LeBron scores 10 of his 35 in transition, you don't feel quite as bad as having Kobe score all 35 of his points on you one on one in the half-court.
