Yeah I don't fukk with Joe either.

Song was a banger and it proved that 50 never got Ja out of here. Ja got Ja out of here. He just started making dope records too late. He was enjoying the pop shyt until the beef got lit. People got sick of pop rule. 50 punched him while he was going down.

I kinda agree with this. I think he was always making dope records, just wasnt releasing as singles. Naughty was ok at balancing pop/street but when them sales were low, they went back to bread and butter. I see what you are saying tho. my take is that they were arrogant for one. Ja and Irv were on top when 50 was still relatively unknown until the Shady deal. they didnt embrace many artists particularly up and coming that were outside of their circle. they didnt reach out for diverse production. Ye was on the rise...and as I posted above, they told Just to fukk off basically. he did wait too long to start dropping heat like this with powerhouse features. he had a brief opportunity to align with Cam'ron when him and Fif was going back and forth...was he not cool with Dips or something to not make that happen?

Thats why 50 dissed every n1gga on the song. He knew Ja Rule might get life from that record. Fif is so ruthless:russ:
50 is smart. He knew he was bigger than all 3 and that Joe and kiss were respected. So he said fukk it and just went at everyone. That dropped mainstream respect for Joe and kiss and ja rule was in the same situation

I always say that it's damn near impossible to end careers with beef.
One could say Ja came close, but don't forget that he was beefing with Eminem (diamond x2 artist), DMX (sold like 17 million in 4 years), 50 (biggest debut in the history of music), Dr. Dre (biggest legend and still steaming) and hell even Busta Rhymes. Yet he still managed to drop hits and go gold with a completely trash album.

Just look at the most potent diss tracks ever, biggest L's and all that. If your music was still Dylan, you survived.
Most artists that got killed off were not hot to begin with, 1 hit wonders and shyt like that, like Benzino.
TI killed Flip's career though:lolbron:, remember when Flip used to talk greasy saying " I"m platinum how can I beef with an gold artist" and then he never saw a plaque after that and TIP turned into a superstar:picard:

Lol, one could make the case but at the same time none of the h´Houston artists from that era survived until 2007 or 2007 was the absolute last year. And they all went platinum or high gold in 04-05.

He also went from dropping two major hits, to no hits on a 3 hour album

And that coke will get you a long time
But when I let 'em know the dope is out, it's like America Online
Wise has awoken
And you know they say that you deserved it whenever you die with your eyes open
I still hold a title, because I'm in the hood like them little motorcycles
Stick up kids, hoppin' out with them old rifles
Just doin' shyt for nothin', it's so spiteful
Ha I'm just like you

...Just a pity Ja had to rap on it.

Replace him with Nas, Rae or Ghost and its one of the tracks of the decade.
