I’ve played this through 4 times. I don’t have a rating or any of that shyt...
Musically/sonically, I won’t argue if people say they don’t like it. I like most of the production outside a couple of songs, but nothing blew me away. At average, most of the beats are serviceable and fit for purpose...
Lyrically?
If you say you like rap and you don’t like this, check your biases. There isn’t a single weak verse on any song. Even the songs I don’t like I have to run back to catch the gems. This is writing at a very high level.
Every verse on every song sounds like a guest verse.
That doesn’t make it a perfect album. shyt, it might not even make it a good album, but man if somebody told me that Jay & Hov were gonna basically drop 9 Shiny Suit Theory level songs lyrically I would have thought it would be too difficult to be that dense every time.
But I’ll be damned if these nikkas ain’t do it.

I was skeptical at first because
"Jigga", but so far this shyt feels like OB4CL with gems being sold instead of drug tips. This is the album that we really NEED right now in the mist of junkie rappers, conscious rappers being on a revolutionary Twitter tip, and the entire community being all over the fukking place instead of forward

I was highkey disappointed when I first saw the track list and saw Shiny Suit Theory on there but damn if it didn’t fit perfectly

That shyt always bothered me as well. nikkas seem to not understand writing credits and publishing where 99% of the time the producer(s) get that stamp for "writing" the music.

There is no logical argument that can be made against Jay Electronica being the best lyricist ever.
