Beyonce is an International star, Jay Z isn't. Nothing more really needs to be said.
Jay-z been an international star, growing internationally as hiphop grew internationally.
He was selling out shows in Europe before they got married and his international sales were aight, aight even after they got married but Magna Carta was by far his chart position wise best international.
Even better than BP3. So really statistically speaking, it's hard to draw a raw conclusion but to deny that Beyonce didn't have impact on his career is just wrong. If you have a famous spouse of course it will affect your life. To which extent is just pure speculation though, since there was no unsudden increase in his international presence, it's been growing steadily for the past 15 years.

women judge u on the women u with...Jay baggin Beyonce made him more desirable to them...before he was just a rapper that wasnt that good looking...many of them still think he ugly but Beyonce on his arm adds more value to him
I don't know about that, Jay was more of a womens favorite back in the late 90s/early 2000s. And back then he was rumored (a lot of fake ones) to been dating people like Aaliyah, Rosario Dawson, Kenya Moore and other random bad bytches super models etc.

Breh, just because you do a show outside the U.S., it doesn't really make you an international star. Beyonce could go to any country on the planet and have the majority of the people know who she is, it's not the same for Jay-Z like that, mostly because he's a rapper. In fact, I'd say the only true international stars rap has are Tupac and Eminem.

I'd add 50 & Snoop too. Snoop can really go to any continent and do a show. He in Brazil whenever he wants, they love him down here.

Jay-z is not a international superstar?

Not only "do shows", sells out shows, arenas.
Dude charge 100 bucks for the cheapest tickets in Europe and still sells out, headlines all the biggest festivals.

And having a large fan base > people knowing who you are for your controversies and other things.
Example: Snoop dogg is very famous all over the world, but no one buys his records and his shows are small to medium sized 2-3k venues in Europe compared to Jays 20k.
Even if Snoop was more famous than Jay which he obviously isn't in 2013, would that make him a bigger international star? If Michael Jordan starts rapping and no one buys his shyt and he sells 0 tickets to his show, but everyone knows who he is.. is he the biggest international superstar rapper?

I think it goes
1. Eminem
2. Kanye or Jay-z
3. ..

Snoop and Puff are on the same level

then 50 but he fell the fukk off as far as relevancy goes.

Nah Jay was pretty much only big in the rap world before he got with Beyonce, now he's a superstar and household name because of her. Truth.
