Breh, just because you do a show outside the U.S., it doesn't really make you an international star. Beyonce could go to any country on the planet and have the majority of the people know who she is, it's not the same for Jay-Z like that, mostly because he's a rapper. In fact, I'd say the only true international stars rap has are Tupac and Eminem.
Jay-z is not a international superstar?
Not only "do shows", sells out shows, arenas.
Dude charge 100 bucks for the cheapest tickets in Europe and still sells out, headlines all the biggest festivals.
And having a large fan base > people knowing who you are for your controversies and other things.
Example: Snoop dogg is very famous all over the world, but no one buys his records and his shows are small to medium sized 2-3k venues in Europe compared to Jays 20k.
Even if Snoop was more famous than Jay which he obviously isn't in 2013, would that make him a bigger international star? If Michael Jordan starts rapping and no one buys his shyt and he sells 0 tickets to his show, but everyone knows who he is.. is he the biggest international superstar rapper?
I think it goes
1. Eminem
2. Kanye or Jay-z
3. ..
Snoop and Puff are on the same level
then 50 but he fell the fukk off as far as relevancy goes.
