Jay Stans love using the longevity argument except when it comes to Nas

You said the last 10 albums :dwillhuh:

I don’t care if you’re not bumping a specific album but to act like an interview clears everything Nas has done over 10 projects is disingenuous and ridiculous if you actually like rap music
The last Nas album I liked was lost tapes in 2002

I said that interview was a bigger moment within hip hop culture than those Nas albums….You don’t agree?

You think Magic 2 has more people talking than that interview?

Nikkas always move the goalposts when they get flustered lol

Why Hov fans never bring up sales when DMX, Eminem, 50 Cent, Drake, are mentioned :mjlol:

Knowing Jay Z was never the top rapper ever, in any year
How is it “moving goalposts” to say that had nothing to do with the first week sales? Do you know what a certification is?

Oh so now that matters?

But when KD3 was highest rated album of 2023, that don’t count right :mjlol:

4:44 was one of the biggest albums AND most acclaimed. It’s more sampled than all the Nas albums during this run too.

No one but Nas Stan’s have a fukk about kings disease 3😂😂😂

Jigga been out since 88

Why do we erase that period of him rapping like the Fu-Schnickens...Nas designed his blueprint, who he kiddin

:sas2:

Jigga career is weird in that he was an afterthought his first 10 yrs....he was a perennial mvp contender the next 10 yrs...and the last 8 yrs, he's been an afterthought outside of a few surprise verses
If Jay has been an afterthought what the fukk has Nas been since 2003?A Jay Z guest verse right now is a bigger deal than a whole Nas album.

That’s another thing, what was the last Nas verse that had dudes going WOW?

hoev has dropped trash since the better part of the 2000s

what longevity musicially? his businesses and relationships to more relevant musicians is his longevity
We should do some type of social experiment. Like if we had some type of proof of Jay the last ten years or so dropping a verse or something and see if the rap community cared about it.

So hip hop culture is interviews?
Most of the interview he was defending himself from raping a underage girl :mjlol:

Hov and Roc Nation doin major PR after Hov being on the Epstein List

It’s not Jay fault people care more about Jay Z talking then Nas doing whole albums.

And he’s not on the Epstein list you’re just a bitter loser who has been hating for 20 years 😂😂😂

so ur saying you have to sell out yankee stadium to be considered having longevity?

Jay and Nas have had long fruitful careers, but Jay has been more consistent ...has been able to maintain a higher level of revelance

Getting married to Kelis ...the controversial album titles...the Lil Nas X collaboration... Wasn't enough

Jay has a lot of fire features in the last 10 years tho his God did verse was just as praised as any nas song from the last 10 years

Nas will drop an album, and they be like what is Jay Z doing. They make more threads on Jay Z, then they do praise these “great” Nas albums.

It's been like this forever, you got jokers like the OP constructing false narratives about some [imaginary] Jay fans just to create these talking points and stir debate around Jay.

Instead of genuinely appreciating Nas on his own merit, they always have to find a way to anchor his legacy to Jay's. It's real embarassing.
