It's actually like that on both sides. Only difference I've noticed is that Nas stans seem to genuinely hate everything about Jay-Z after the battle. Let them tell it, dude has no classics, is a mediocre lyricist, and makes nothing but pop music. These are the same cats who have made up a holiday to hate on dude annually. If that isn't some shyt, I don't know what is. I never really see that much disdain for Nas from Jay stans.

To me, they are the two best alive, so I always found it silly, even when the battle was still raging on, that people felt they had to choose a side.

I had a convo with a Jay stan today and we agreed that Jay is Micheal (commercially successsful, big for the culture) Nas is Prince (more talented, more respected for his craft, produced better work)

Lol, it's not gonna push Jay to do anything. These dudes are two independent individuals. They are not competing with each other, they are making what they find musically interesting. Jay would be as likely to compete with Eminem, Cube and them as well if that was the case. EM would even be more likely since they are both competing on the pop scene, awards and things you can "measure". WTT was just labelled a classic by
Millions of people across the world, why would he worry about Mas potentially dropping a classic as well?
