yet for jay, being able to create another record in the series of hard knock life. Plus make it have higher clarity bar to bar. While elongating thr idea of less is more while adding more bar to abr from hard knock life is a career triumph in music for any artist.
let alone a triumph for jay. When previously kay would abandon previous styles of records. Or never recreate the right record for a series of records.
one of the best b sides in rap history and a great obscure story to revisit on how it was originally obtained as well.
song still takes me back to having thr bootleg before anyone in Chicago and pulling up to the brewery in my first car which was a modern redesigned buick Riviera.

This shyt and Hard Knock Life aged so damn poorly. Clearly they wanted to recapture the “magic” of Hard Knock but this just ain’t it. I can respect the content in the song because there’s some deep meaning there but Jay has a lot of “meh” tracks.
Honestly, people hate on “Sunshine” mostly because of that video but that shyt aged better than this and is a decent track for its era.
