Still wild to me that Jay randomly put this as the last song on Beans album. Imagine if the last song on a Travis Scott album was a full Kanye solo song outta nowhere.

It was also a hidden bonus on Vol 3 if i’m not mistaken

I actually think it was kind of dope that Jay and Roc-A-Fella was doing that for a minute. Remember when Bleek was on the intro to Vol.2? (He spit FLAMES too)

I kind of wish they had kept that going or that it had caught on amongst rap crews.

Rap genius says it is a bonus on vol. 3 on the European Version.
You must've got in during your military days lol.

CHICAGO
excellent showcase of an artist adding to, creating and elongating a past record into a series.

one of the very few past ll to successfully match the original ground breaking record in the series as well.

ll has the most high quality series of records.
yet for jay, being able to create another record in the series of hard knock life. Plus make it have higher clarity bar to bar. While elongating thr idea of less is more while adding more bar to abr from hard knock life is a career triumph in music for any artist.

let alone a triumph for jay. When previously kay would abandon previous styles of records. Or never recreate the right record for a series of records.

one of the best b sides in rap history and a great obscure story to revisit on how it was originally obtained as well.

song still takes me back to having thr bootleg before anyone in Chicago and pulling up to the brewery in my first car which was a modern redesigned buick Riviera.

@@@@@ =. One of rap's best b-sides or obscure joints in rap history.

I like the idea in the first verse how you have a crew of young friends that look out for each other and that grow up to be successful adults together or entrepreneurs/" young execs"

That feeling of being willing to and sacrfice for your friends.

Crazy that Sam Sneed produced this joint.

Sneed is always apart of fire.

This song >>>>>>>>>>>> Hard Knock Life

This shyt and Hard Knock Life aged so damn poorly. Clearly they wanted to recapture the “magic” of Hard Knock but this just ain’t it. I can respect the content in the song because there’s some deep meaning there but Jay has a lot of “meh” tracks.

Honestly, people hate on “Sunshine” mostly because of that video but that shyt aged better than this and is a decent track for its era.
