How did this not come out? All the trash records that made it on BP2 and this one got cut? It was a Nas diss at first. The flow on this was so dope. anyone got a no DJ version?

Bonus slept on Jay joints from the same era. The last time Jay and Ski hooked up.

One more Jay and Just Blaze. Pretty sure this a Blueprint leftover, not BP2

It is dope, but maybe it's the Clue drops, but I think it sonds very "mixtape-y". Both the beat and the rhymes. It doesn't feel like a song, feels like a joint if that makes sense.

I should have a no DJ version at home

And yes, Early This Morning was a BP1 leftover

Need that :lupe:

I'm actually talking about another one. U Don't Know is classic too, all day, and so is the remix with M.O.P. Don't You Know is a different joint that was recorded for BP2 but ended up on a soundtrack instead.
early this morning >>>>

shoulda precluded 'you dont know' on the blueprint. if my timings right

All day. That Trackmasters joint before U Don't Know was the worst song on Blueprint, and probably the only bad song on the album. Girls, Girls, Girls with Early This Morning and then U Don't Know after it would've been fire.

Same with Justify My Thug on TBA. If Ignorant shyt had been on there instead?

:blessed: PSA, Ignorant shyt, Allure, Lucifer, My 1st Song....

I always liked the beat on the remix of you dont know better than the OG version. That shyt seemed more hype to me

Just Blaze told us, “We knew it was hot, but I wanted to do more with it. I always wanted to make it bigger and better, and make the drums hit harder, and the bass more in your face. I always say to myself, 'I wish I got the opportunity to do that over.'

He did get that opportunity on The Blueprint 2 when Jay-Z commissioned a remix “U Don’t Know” with M.O.P., but the original still stands as the superior cut of the two.

I remember Just Blaze saying in an interview that he went back in and re-did the beat for the remix to make it harder

You just reminded me that I used to have the remix over the OG beat. Rare gem from the Napster days.Wish I still had it since I prefer the original beat to the live one
