People Talking is so ill.The man that I am and damn you dont know

Jay and Nas was dissing each other heavy

I speak through music, I reach you dudes,
We can get deeper in the dirt than cleat shoes,
I refuse to lose, I peep you creeps three months in advance
I see right through ya Judas. :violent:

I'm just a mirror reflecting your image,:ahh::scusthov:
the Minute you switch up your face I pick up the pace,
There's nothing to it

We can clap at this amateur pace :bustback:
if that's what's cracking or we can play this on All Madden :slapfight:

Please what have you, I breeze through Matthews
Bleed if I have to, you cowards die a thousand deaths :rip:

You fukkin wit a dude that did it wit digits
Breathing's a privilege
Dont you know... when youre defeated?
Won't you though? Throw in the towel
I'm better with vowels
I'm a man of principles; damn-near invincible
In my own mind now that my soul's aligned
I didn't know before now my role's defined:

You just reminded me that I used to have the remix over the OG beat. Rare gem from the Napster days.Wish I still had it since I prefer the original beat to the live one

I have the OG beat with the remix lyrics on it somewhere too. Not easy to find at all. One of the rarest Jay joints IMO. I'll look for it on one of my old hard drives. Can't promise I'll find it. In fact, I'm guessing I won't be able to. I promise I'll look for it. I forgot all about it until you said anything. I remember downloading it off Digital Phonics.

That was the initial leak... If I remember correctly Jay didn't add the last few bars until after the best was reworked...

I remember when the album dropped I was like more bars???:gladbron::ahh:

Yes! That's right. Before the album I think he ended it after "you dudes is noodles, I got more ziti to bake."

I only ever had that initial file from 2002. Somehow got lost/corrupted in all the computers and HDD since

I remember when it leaked...

Early this morning
Calling my name

And 2 other tracks dropped at the same time... Good times:myman:

Those 2, Show You How, and...can't remember the last one

South Philly nikkaz? The original version... I think

Early this morning was supposed to be the blueprint intro I think

Yep, I think that's it. Jay with the Jayo Felony shot and Bleek with the Nas shot

Oh word? I knew it was maybe the only song that got cut. Maybe I said it in this thread, but Jay never really leftover many songs. he pretty much always just used what he recorded. I know they said most of Blueprint was done in a weekend. Heart of the city, never change, song cry, girls, u don't know, and izzo and/or takeover...one weekend. Pretty much all the Just and Kanye joints. That's one of the most underrated accomplishments in hip hop IMO. Most people can't get that many classic songs on an album period, let alone a weekend.

While I'm on Blueprint, B!NK never gets enough credit for the 3 he produced on there, and Alchemist kinda got shafted too. Jay-Z I guess was beefing with Prodigy around that time and told him "It's a shame you're playing for the wrong team."

I don't have a source for that quote, but it's from an ancient hiphopsite interview from maybe 2002/2003.
