A damn near 60 year old sold out a 2 day festival with just his name announced :banderas:
It sells out every year though...the pre-sale always sells out, and VIP tix go fast. And GA is pretty much "sold out" in name only. There's no capacity. Usher had like 40K-50K people....and he was a last minute Puffy headliner replacement..announced like a week before

Around the end of April, they'll start doing single day tix.

Why all these tickets being sold?

As soon and I mean as soon as that man name was announced it would be a line around the block asking for refunds

We all know only the people in Marcy bought all his albums

And Jay makes them go to each and every concert

If they refuse he cuts off the water and the lights in the projects

Roots should boycott their own picnic

I also seen on twitter that all the stars that went to the gold party was paid and forced

We need to get this cancelation moving

We been trying since 2001 :what:

I never saw them sell out in less than a day with just one name announced.

And usher is usher

I'm just saying there's no such thing as "sold out" for a Roots Picnic once they moved to the Mann, as it's an open area with essentially "no capacity". No matter what you may see, temporarily...they always have official non-resale tickets. I've bought tickets the day of, even after sold out for half of the years I've gone. The VIPs are the only things that truly sell out, because those areas are more confined. They will still have single day tickets later on. The Plat is bigger than the Mann area, depending on how they set up the perimeter, and they say there was 30K for Usher. There were at least 40K the night of his performance, and they even say they sold 55K tickets. I went to the very top of the hill and took a picture. For Jay, there'll prob be insane numbers Saturday. I think they get a gauge of how many people buy tickets immediately, then start setting up the logistics based on that...so that may be why they say sold out. But no matter what, parking will be crazy...even with walking 2-3 miles

I have no interest in seeing Jay-Z, so I'm only gonna get a Sunday ticket once it becomes available. But I guarantee y'all will come back saying there were way more people than capacity and official numbers said on that night.

You have no interest to see Jay but you are not buying a Saturday ticket

instead you are buying a Sunday ticket where Jay is headlining

Dude, I don't go every year. I only go when there's artists I want to see, and I've been going since Year 2 when it was at Penn's Landing. If the lineup ends up being no one I'm interested in seeing, I won't buy a ticket, or if rain is scheduled I won't even think of going. And I go solo, there solo, chill solo - I don't give AF what anyone else does.

When the change was announce for location days before they said Jay, I was confused. I figured they were changing, because the full lineup was typically announced the MLK weekend...they were late. This location doesn't have any of the amenities the Mann had. As for parking, where it was before, you had easy access to parking on the opposite side of the street or around and through the park on the other side. The Plat is closer to the edge of the city, so parking isn't as easy...instead of 4 ways, there'll be parking maybe 3 ways...but traffic will be more hindered and further away. There's maybe 2-3 parking lots closer not tied to apt complexes, but they'll prob be towing. You're also further from the residential streets, and there's only 1 way in/out so it'll cut off most of the routes through the park, including the highway. That's what I'm more concerned with. You can probably park in the same areas from previous years, but you'll be a good mile+ away...especially after Parkside fills up.

Apparently our mayor is behind the new location move - more picturesque to add to our 250th celebrations for the summer, but logistically completely worse.

444 didnt even have a first week and still sold 262k 2nd week after being a tidal exclusive, gave away 1 million and was the most bootlegged album. shyt got on Spotify years after it was released. That album still went plat without the million from sprint

Jay trying to get people to use Tidal hurt the sales of 444

and its still 2x plat
