Jay steady releasing albums IMO is nothing but padding stats trying to make himself look better... If he's not bringing home TITLES, it's irrelevant...

Kobe: Any year I don't win a title is a wasted year of my life.

Kobe isn't just playing to pad his scoring total... he knows he needs RINGS to pass Jordan (Biggie / Pac)

Average Platinum Plaques per album:

Biggie: 7 plaques (up until LAD)
Pac: 3 plaques (Up until 7 day theory)
Jay: 2 plaques

I'll take batting average / scoring average over total points ANYDAY... Kobe will pass Jordan in TOTAL points this year....

Kobe >>> The god right?:bryan::bryan::bryan:

Quoting this for emphasis. This is end of any argument.

Quality over Quantity... Everybody know that.

You lose the argument cause you say jay is #6 but STILL can't post the top 5 according to your "stats"

Lesson of Today kids: JUST BECAUSE YOU RAP till you're flabby and sick even though others make better music / outsell you non stop (weezy, drake, kanye, eminem) DOES NOT continuously boost your stature in history above others.

This is proven in the history of ALL sports, as I have provided above.

Oh my god you're a loser.

If you GOOGLE "Top hiphop albums" these albums are classics by the top 10 search results on google and other publications (source, xxl etc)

If you don't want this to be FACT, you put in money to create your own mag or get a link on the first page of google (exactly, shut the fukk up)

Besides that, Biggie had the best selling album in 1994 and 1997 numb nuts (2 titles in 3 years... Jay 0 titles in 20 years...

YOOOOO .... somebody please come help this dude... He's trying desperately to defend Jay but it's embarassing at this point lol... somebody help this man.
Vol2 was the best selling rap album in 1998. IDHH passed it in 1999 because Big pimping didn't help the Vol 2 era that much.
Also, in terms of #1s and who came out in the same week, there is reason why Elvis was number 2 for so long - it aint easy esp if the artist always releases in the 3rd and 4th quarters. Outkast and Jay-Z released an album during the same week - not sure if its Vol 3 or the dynasty

Did you even read the original post? Dark and hell is hot + flesh of my flesh OR Miseducation of Lauryn hill >>> Volume 2

BOTH CLASSIC WISE AND SALES WISE.

Look, I can't respond to all yall nikkas... it's like wack a mole. 1998 was year of the dog. Anyone who would dispute that, don't really have too much else to say to ya.

ˆˆˆˆ^ Curious as well :mjpls:

1 - Biggie (by a hair)
2 - Tupac
3 - Eminem
4 - Jay-Z
5 - Lil Wayne

Biggie / Pac / Eminem All DOMINATED years, where Jay never did
Biggie / Pac even at age 24 have SO MANY MORE timeless classic songs than he does
Eminem is so superior as far as "rapping", it's not even funny

Lil wayne being part of hot boys, around since 1997, playing a MAJOR role in the 2 songs that pretty much CREATED Cash Money in the early days (Bling Bling, Back Dat Azz Up). and pretty much being the hottest thing in rap from 2007 - 2011 damn near gives him the edge over Jay... I wouldn't argue if anyone wanted to argue.. But I'll just give it to Jay for longevity. EXTREMELY slight edge.

Also, Waynes glory years (2007 - 2011) are extremely fresh.... Jay's glory years (1998-2003) have already aged... Wayne could VERY WELL be over him when it's all said and done. Waynes Glory years >>> Jay's glory years.

I alrdy showed u Big never dominated years 94-95

U keep ignoring that fact

He was outsold in both years but because ur not lookin at the numbers u see on ur lil wikipedia studies in the proper context ur out hea sayin Biggie was the #1 guy sales wise in 94 -95

He was not

So again based on ur OP Biggie cannot be considered a great because he never dominated #1 sales wise
