If the NFL really wanted to do something about “social justice” (which they haven’t even defined btw), they would have sought out people or groups who do just that. Jay-Z has no solutions to real social issues besides his “presence being charity” and throwing money at people, which he then turns around and uses as civil rights currency. “How many people have you kept out of jail?” is some real Pat-yourself-on the back sh-t.

If the NFL was looking for someone who could bring them into this generation music and entertainment wise, they’d reach out to someone who could do that. Which is why they called Jay-Z. This is an entertainment deal.

The sham press meeting and the social justice part of the deal was to help stave off backlash, which clearly didn’t work.

yea "social justice" is a deliberately vague term, NFL might be going for their own benign neglect policy

with the end goal being to strategically exclude or minimize black issues.. just like in government

black folks really gotta stop looking up to these celebrities as some kinda leaders

it's bout time we followed dr. claud anderson's powernomics guide

to prevent ourselves from being abused economically, politically, judicially, and in the media

that way it doesn't matter what any black celebrity is or isn't doing, we'll be straight regardless..

Why don’t you show people how you living so we can see if you’re living what your yacking? Anybody can say we need to do this that and the other. It takes nothing but let’s see if even you follow this stuff you’re kicking. Lastly you’ll never get most folks to not look at celebrities some type of way.

We arent..its his livelihood
So it’s okay to go against your principles for the money because it’s his livelihood? Sounds fugazy to most if you’re not being bias. He could be in another profession esp if he saved the money he already had from the league. We all need to be consistent or shyt going to look funny in the light whether you agree with me or not.

You don’t need jay z money to make a difference. It’s people sitting in jail with $100 bails they can’t pay.
That’s the broke dudes okey doke from duke you quoted. Being realistic cats know they most likely aren’t going to get that money so they just say what they “would” do and get props for saying shyt we will most likely ever know if it’s bullshyt or not. Like you said most folks talking like the person you quoted not even doing stuff like you mentioned that way more people can do.

Ya'll see this as Jay working for the NFL, but this is Jay telling the NFL they have no choice but to work with him. This is a power move by Jay and shows how much influence he actually has and the seeds of this power move was planted when his influence made people opt out of performing at the superbowl, the NFLs biggest show. The controversy around the superbowl was bigger than the superbowl itself. WIth Jay realizing that he essentially forced the NFL to work with him by basically saying, I'll fix ya'll bumass halftime show and the controversy surrounding it if you guys contribute to social change initiative. That's the deal. Jay is basically capitalizing off the controversy that he created. So yeah its a capitalist move, but its also social change as well. If you can fight for change, justice, giving back and make money at the same time, while creating opportunities for artists under the RocNation umbrella, whose the real loser here. Its the NFL, who has to pay for all this shyt, and get there money back through people no longer protesting and watching the superbowl again. Essentially, its a win for everybody.

I think you don't see the problem because you're fukking with him on this issue. I don't think you can dissing someone and still taking their money. That's like a cat saying they don't fukk with someone and always shytting on them but always with them chillin. I'm like what kinda time this person on. He hasn't compromised to you but I'm looking at this shyt the same way I'd look at someone IRL and that's compromised like mother fukker. You don't agree cool.

I can see your point. I havent been extremely vocal on this whole thing from each player involved. from Jay to Reid to Kaep.

as quick as you can see a positive, you can see a negative.

Not sure why I’m lumped into this “you all.” I’m all about capitalism. Always have been, always will be. Capitalism sure af beats any alternative by far.

Well according to you all everything. Unless it's JAY Z. "Social injustice", "racism", "white supremacy" all coli talking points are basically all based on capitalism. And you all hate it.

yea i believe in not looking up to celebrities in general other than entertainment, that's dikk riding

especially a white corporate puppet..

if we look up to anyone as an example it should be people like dr. claud anderson who's been fighting for black reparations & legal corrective action for decades with no fanfare

every other society is led by their business & industrial class, but with us it's these cherry picked celebrity "leaders"

the police brutality issue that kaepernick was protesting in the first place is due to our lack of economic power

black folks own less than 1% of the wealth & resources in america, and that's with all the celebrities included

we're almost 100% consumers and 0% producers, and as a result of no economic power we got no influence in politics or the courts

that's what makes us such easy targets, most of these police do what they do cause they know they'll get away with it, even despite body cams

the murder of black people has been reduced down to a paperwork process within the judicial system.. all they gotta do is come up with a half decent lie and they walk
