You can't put Jigga above any of those Mc's : Nas, Pac, BIG, Face and Cube.

He's better than Nas and Big for sure.
He's in the realm of Pac and Scarface.
Cube is in another dimension though. GOAT.

In which way(s) do you think that Jay is better than Nas but worse than Pac?
3 classic albums that's more than either one of Nas or Big, the latter of which hardly released enough material to merit comparison.

Reasonable Doubt is the most forced "classic" of all time.
I just think Jay not only has 1 more classic than Nas but also has a stronger discography across the board despite falling off pretty heavily since American Gangster in 2007.
I don't think Jay is worse than Pac. I think he's better but if you put Pac above Jay I wouldn't be mad. They're interchangeable. Pac has 2 or 3 classics out of 5 albums released, and be it his last 3 albums so he was on the up.
Okay, so classics are your only criteria there.
And we actually on the amount of classics all three of them have.
But what about lyrics? Do you still hold Jay over Nas there?
Discography is the biggest factor for me personally when it comes to rating who's GOAT. Lyricism doesn't matter as much because it's harder to assess given the subjectivity of it. Also because everyone has different styles etc. I'd say Jay was on equal footing with Nas on Reasonable Doubt lyrically speaking up to Dynasty or something. He obviously dumbed it down on purpose on The Blueprint and beyond in order to become more commercially viable. Nas meanwhile has remained elite lyrically throughout his entire career. He hasn't compromised on that. But again...it doesn't matter to me much. I know talent wise they are very similar. So it comes down to album for album. HOV advantage imo.
