At first, I was straight up :manny: and nothing more, but this shyt is important. We need more people of color in prominent positions in life, to open the doors to those that have had doors slammed in their faces. Building a stable of allies in the form of representing them is genius.

If this was simple ass shyt like Master P getting over his head, Jay wouldn't be on the come-up while at the top.

Go easy on P. Remember Jay on that recent breakfast club interview, talking about running over the hill taking the arrows. Master P did that, he took the arrows first. Jay learned from that.

Jay still might not succeed, but it is still another step forward..

Yeah, you right about that, breh. It was easy to look at it as a failure because his empire pretty much is non-existent or his influence is just gone. It don't got nothing to do with him being in the biz of representing clients. My bad, doe.

Jay-Z should do well. "They" are gonna see ANY black agent as threat. In a world where everybody you encounter professionally is white, it's refreshing when you got someone you can identify with. It's the reason Don King was able to come in the boxing game & kill it. The other promoters hated him. Look at Al Haymon. He's running the boxing game signing all the black talent.

The majority of athletes in the NBA/NFL are black americans. You got a black american agent come in who can identify & relate to these players. Of course they are upset because they can't compete with that.

Jay ain't smashing the good ole boy network, in fact he wants to be one of them.

Jay has done a good job, pretending he's on some "taking on the man" rebel to Hip-Hop fans, but at the same time, he's firmly working in concert with them.

Jay z can never be one of the good ole boys because he's not white. Drop the c00n mentality man. As if a black man aspiring to get to levels that have only been reserved for "good ole boys" is something to shyt on him for. It's almost like some people want Jay to just chill and be a rapper:dahell: "Look at that sellout ass Jay Z, trying to do shyt white men do. He wants to be white, he needs to know his place"

Jay aint nothing but a Trojan Horse. Rob Pelinca is one of the best agents out there, How you think he got Kobe makin 60 million /yr. Durant is young so it aint like he can't get him big time endorsements.

And it goes on, and on..

You also have to understand when it comes to media and agents. Agents make the Glazers the Schefter's and the Woj's. They chose these media guys to break the news on contracts and what not. This Silva dude is in the pocket for Boras, like PFT's Mike Florio who has been talking shyt about Jay, is in the pocket for Drew Rosenhaus...
racial segregation was more damaging than steroids? you dont say? :ohhh:

edit: just realized I bit @VictorVonDoom's post :snoop:
