neither of them are goats to me.

jay has just been undeniably disgustingly nice at different points in his career (volume 3 is my personal favorite from him, it isnt a popular opinion but dude was way too nasty wirh his rhymes on that jawn.

nas is way more consistently nice, and made one of my favorite albums of all time. but while i sit there and listen to his shyt and agree its nice...hardly do i ever revisit any of his albums aside from his first 3. when a nas album drops, im already accustomed to expecting 4 great songs or so, and a bunch of respective head nodders that i will nod along with on first few plays, but will probably never listen to again once ive absorbed the album. i almost appreciate his gueat appearances as much as his albums, and i play my personal playlist mixes of his solo jawns more than anything after i am

Bro, for me and my boys this viewpoint is a given .... none of us will ever willingly drop a Jay tune at a session .... EVER .... if anyone mentions top MCs of all time talk ... NOBODY is dropping Jay in their top 5 because:

1. We rate pure lyricism and creativity
2. Lyrics we can relate too
3. Deep music that means more than a top 40 chart
4. His voice is corny and nasaly as fukk and he always trynna copy new nikkas and its embaressing

5th place continuously changes as I rate Wu Tang as a group very hard but I dont wanna put more than one wu member in my top 5

I'll give u pac and nas, cause at the end of the day there legit first ballet hall of famers, they have it all the hits, Tons of classics, influence, longevity(pac died early in his life to u can take that from him), classic battles and defined history win or lose.

Honestly P or ghost don't have the level of prestige, P career has been effectively over since 01 when jay and nas sonned him, and Ghost is solid, but his career don't stack up to others.

I respect your top 5 tho, but u just to much in a "real" hip hop box for me. I would legit have a artist like DMX over P and Ghost tbh.

I honestly couldnt choose what was better out of Liquid Swords and OB4CL .... honeslty that was the hardest shyt I ever had to think about ... I just called them two albums as No.1 and 2 and Me Agaist the World as no.3 in 95
