It clearly doesnt if my explanation was great
So Jay-Z is learning but Nas "doesnt want that life" what bollocks
I would say considering he's sitll got a presence after 20 plus years in the game and still seen as marketable by corporations like Sprite, he's probably survived more than his more credible peers. And given every young lyricst with promise under the sun gets compared to him, his artistic integrity is legit.
Now after someone explains HHID its corny because it doesnt meet your narrative stance?

Given that the album and sparked a year long conversation about if Hip Hop is Dead or not in mainstream press, I would say that guy did with an album that was only half-amazing
He cant have taken as many L's as you think if he's a Hip Hop legend. And given that the commerical presence on his label (Danity Kane going number 1 on the R&B charts last fall under Mass Appeal) its already found success as a boutique label along with credibility projects.
Really all you came up with where Skip Bayless like gas bag hottakes that people took down fairly easily. Its okay to critique Nas' albums or certain aspects of his career, realisitcally all successful artists have that. But stop trying to make it something where he's a failure because as time has gone on he's solidified his name in Hip Hop lore even more , so how bad could it be really?
