This is a sound vs content argument that either some of y'all don't understand or are purposely being obtuse to serve your own agendas.

Yes Clipse do drug dealer raps. Are they doing that in the same way that a YB or DLow do it, no. That's where them being authentic to themselves lie. They're not chasing the most current sound.

And that's not to say they wouldn't visit that world, but they wouldn't live there.

I actually agree with Jay z, but he's very fake on this. He's the same guy in his 50s doing songs with younger artists and rhyming over trap beats to fit in with the same young audience he's talking about.
