This happens to pretty much everybody these days unless they have everybody who has a hot single on the bill or it’s Drake and The Weeknd. But that’s pretty much the same thing if we’re being honest.

Cacs don't want to hear black empowerment music... Neither do most black people... They wanna see nikkaz dance and turn up.

humanity lost

Jay made an album that wasn't the typical Jay Z album in that it wasn't bouncy beats with him talking about how great he is. He made an honest album with beats that showcased his vocals. It isn't something that was ever going to be the type of Jay album that was everywhere like his previous ones. This is more so along the lines of American Gangster where it was more thematic, story driven than it being just a collection of bangers with some introspection mingled in.

Black empowerment isn't what alienated a portion of his fans and casuals, it was more so the production and his flow on some of the songs. I like the album as is, but those are complaints from people that didn't really like it. There was also a lot of blowing the album out of proportion just because he didn't make a typical Jay album.

Kendrick couldn't tour TPAB. It has everything to do with the content and production.

Toronto show sold out and they added a second one, but doesn't look like it'll do the same

Jay's nosebleed seats in Atlanta are going for $115. He better bring out Jeezy, TI and a whole bunch of special guests to make it an event or it'll be my last Jay show at those prices.
