smiley > Like I said complexity isn't just in the aspects you mentioned, complex content is things that aren't basic plane stuff, obviously as a KRS fan yourself you know he does that, I'm not saying KRS rhymed like Pun lol, but in terms of rhymes he was not at all a cat, hat, bat rhymer...
For example, his 2nd verse on this...
Complex flows, again as a KRS-One fan you know about the flows, and about the complexity in styles. KRS was simple when he wanted to be, but anytime he wanted to step it up he was more than capable of doing that.
Not saying this was Stray Bullets lol, but I still thought it was dope...
I love that song, I remember the video and everything. Again, it wasn't complex lyrically. It was good though. And when people talk about complex lyrics you know what people mean. Come on man. I know you're the biggest KRS fan in the world but it's okay to admit he wasn't anything special in that department. That doesn't take away from his legacy at all.
It's nothing to do with me not wanting to admit anything. It's a legitimate point, complexity isn't just in lyrical techniques, that's like saying multies defines complexity, complexity as an MC comes in many forms. one of the original forms is rhymes, like how much you rhyme. I'm not saying KRS is the most complex lyricist in Hip Hop, but I do think he's a dope lyricist, and how much you rhyme can be part of a rhyme scheme, also in regards to techniques people talk about, such as multies, I notice so much, with really GREAT MC's , because they sound effortless and natural when they do the techniques it's overlooked, like a Biggie, Pac, KRS-One and others, because they don't emphasise it, or make it prominent like a G Rap or a Big Pun, but they do it all the time all the same, And content is obviously part of the complexity, Aztechnical for instance isn't a basic Superman that hoe song lol. You can't limit complexity to just those few areas and disregard everything else.

I'm not gonna break this down fully due to time but within this there is numerous internal rhymes, alliteration, multies, loads of rhymes within just a line or two, it's not just the basic one word at the end of a bar, or the 2 word multi at the end of the bar, it's rhyming a great deal. And that's a random example, within his work he has numerous lyrical verses. Can't get lyrical misinterpreted, because there's many ways to do things.
If I was Rhyme King I would highlight the words but ... lol.
