The Vol. 2 hatred I'll never understand... I guess cause it's the one with all the hit singles you've heard 1000 times, I get it, but it was a very impactful album that changed Jay's career and catapulted him to the forefront. Why people treat it like a footnote in his career, I don't get it.

You got 'Hard Knock Life' that drove people insane when it dropped.
'nikka What nikka Who' that was a favorite long before it was a single.
'Money Cash Hoes' that set the street on fire.
'Can I Get A'- huge hit that rocked everywhere
'Reservoir Dogs'- classic posse cut
'Its Alright' and 'Money Aint A Thang'- hits from the previous summer that were both bangers
dope album cuts 'A Week Ago', 'Coming of Age II', 'Ride or Die'...

When did this become a half-ass album that couldn't possibly be seen as classic? Internet opinion like a MF...

Please don't turn this into a debate thread about which albums is better than which. Everybody like a album better than the album you like for different reasons. If y'all want to debate the albums make a separate thread strictly for that but don't f*ck up the interview thread with all this endless pointless debating sh*t

Yeah, Vol. 2 may be third favorite, heavily tied to nostalgia, as that was my intro to Jay in 7th grade, but I think it holds up better than 3/4 of his work.

Negativity (Kayfabe)
Vol. 2 is that joint, so...

Great point about American Gangster; people hated Kingdom Come that much to pump it up. Watch The Throne is classic.

  1. Reasonable Doubt
  2. The Blueprint
  3. The Black Album (damn they should've cut Change Clothes and that Madonna joint)
  4. Vol. 2
  5. American Gangster
  6. 4:44
  7. Blueprint 2
But, Jay still bullshytting about the capitalist shyt; that has not be good for black people. See Barclay's.

Jay comes off as a genuine dude. But, he's got some legit criticism against him. Overall great for the culture.
