Vol. 2 is that joint, so...

Great point about American Gangster; people hated Kingdom Come that much to pump it up. Watch The Throne is classic.

  1. Reasonable Doubt
  2. The Blueprint
  3. The Black Album (damn they should've cut Change Clothes and that Madonna joint)
  4. Vol. 2
  5. American Gangster
  6. 4:44
  7. Blueprint 2
But, Jay still bullshytting about the capitalist shyt; that has not be good for black people. See Barclay's.

Jay comes off as a genuine dude. But, he's got some legit criticism against him. Overall great for the culture.
He's not bullshytting about the capitalism stuff. He's talking about group economics like so many before him have. He's wrong, but not for lack of intention.

I agree

Before black people can start talking about group economics we gotta actually get capital.

I love my people, but, it kills me that we think wealth is made hustling.

Amazon and Wal-Mart killing our communities by stifling the growth of small businesses.

Banks are racist. Political are just gerrymandering our demands away. We don't own land to farm. And we have no real media presence that isn't control by a white man.

"Bullshytting" to me is starting at "stop the money phones"

Most dudes doing that are criminals and entertainers just fronting. And most will be broke once whatever lick they have dries.

Group ec00nomics starts with a actual base. Jay wants to impress me; start a political party that addresses the concerns of the average black person.

Again, I believe Jay is a great guy, just misinformed.

What about ROc Boys sounds commercial? Are you serious?
the beat, the hook, the video, the vocals with kanye and cassie, everything about it screams it was single to be sold to the masses to sell the album

if "i know" was commercial as you said it is, jay would've made that the second single after blue magic

I was with you until you said "Start a political party."

nikka, anything else on the list you'd like Jay to do? :what: How bout start a Black section of America, right? :childplease: He's not the king bee of Black people. He is, however, using his voice to move folks' thinking in the right direction

He's at the top of the rap game, has transitioned to major business and is doing a great job of shining a spotlight of the mindset to have once you're tired of the ignorant shyt.

:stopitslime:My only point is we have a lot to do before this "save your money" (which we already do more than white people) talk.

We need a real political base to protect our economics.

I did not mean Jay-Z has to do it all.

How would "I Know" catch the feel more than "Roc Boys"? There was plot to the song and video.

Man the biggest thing is, we've got the GOAT rapper alive and kicking real shyt.

Bill Burr once said you can live past your expiration date. We saw Pac and Big pass at a time where they were in a transition.

We've seen DMX live and turn into something that saddens me as a 31 year rap fan :mjcry: Imagine if he would've passed during his prime. It would take idol-worship into another level with his work and damien series. But instead, he lived and we saw what happened. :francis:

No stan shyt but for real, appreciate what Jay has done. He just dropped a (soon-to-be) classic at this age. He's paving the way for Hip-Hop to grow a la Rolling Stones, etc. You see how Bad Boy is doing reunion tours.

I guess he has to die for nikkas to realize its not Stan shyt. He has been a great representation for the CULTURE. It's because of him that these corporations pay attention now.

:mindblown:

nikka been down since before 96. I dont understand the hate. I guess the white boys and whitewashed black kids control the narrative now.
