There are no lessons that prepare a young person for the onslaught of attention you get as a professional athlete. He’s not some regular 24YO finishing his MBA or somethingHe’s a grown man. You gotta trust that your lessons were learned

My point is athletes and people in general from two parent married households are less likely to make goofy decisions with women. Yeah Kobe had a major public mess up, but I still consider that better than what Anthony Edwards is doing. At least Kobe could move on from it without any attachments. That’s the key difference.
Men are not prepared no matter what they say to combat when the right woman presses........most men will never experience it in real life to know the difference......it's overpowering in the best way and anybody with an inflated ego is food......it's damn near magic......it's easier to definitively say when it's a woman known for being a pass around or having a certain reputation......when it's an unknown woman that fits your visual demands and is currently contouring her soft body to your shape like she way made to fit you and you alone, the brain malfunctions........There are no lessons that prepare a young person for the onslaught of attention you get as a professional athlete. Exactly.Men are not prepared no matter what they say to combat when the right woman presses........most men will never experience it in real life to know the difference......it's overpowering in the best way and anybody with an inflated ego is food......it's damn near magic......it's easier to definitively say when it's a woman known for being a pass around or having a certain reputation......when it's an unknown woman that fits your visual demands and is currently contouring her soft body to your shape like she way made to fit you and you alone, the brain malfunctions........
I get what you're saying. And there's tons of kids from Western cultures with more lax parenting (more lax = loosening the reins, not becoming an unavailable deadbeat) once the child becomes 18 and graduate high school that also go on the same path as the kids with ridiculously restrictive parenting.
Btw, there's a wide, WIDE gulf between doing your kids' laundry and trying to manage their sex life. One is something parents of all ethnicities and cultural backgrounds do (those American-as-apple-pie white kids that went home every weekend were doing that partly to get pampered at home), the other is almost incestuous behavior from a narcissistic control freak.
Not sure how he is but by the time he gets there there should be some vet teammates who have had their entire careers in the social media era. Y'all have your core values to instill in him but that level of optionality is hard to navigate unless you been through it.There's no right or wrong.
Everyone is telling me and my ex-wife that our son will be playing at the highest level. We've done a great job with him. But we have a lot of conversations about how to go about things once he's out there on his own.
Probably. She’ll intimidate the worst of them. Any chick who breaks through that wall will have earned it- “golddigger” or not, and probably will have her own achievements and will guard him as well as the motherI'm getting "Meet the Parents/No one is good enough for my son" vibes
I'm not saying your overall premise is wrong, I'm saying using Kobe as an example weakens your argument since you even admit he made a major goofy decision in regards to broads, despite coming from a 2 parent household.
