Word on the street is that Jay-Z is on the cusp of announcing Jay Electronica's album as a tidal exclusive for 2016.

He'll at least have a verse or two on that.

To be honest that's great news considering he fell off years ago, but the reasoning is hilarious. It's not like his music has ever been some politically charged, rage against the system ish where he needs to be angry or in a militant mindset to make it, 90% of his stuff is vapid airhead, girls just want to have fun, i sold drugs so i'm cool, you can't afford what i can afford music anyway, so "he's too happy to care about making music" doesn't even make sense. But again, it's great news, that Magna Carter album wasn't even average, shyt was a D-

i mean, i feel that :yeshrug:

dude in his 40s, comin up on a billi

wife bad

got a lil kid

running businesses

can tour off his past catalog whenever he wants and sell out big spots

why would he wanna be in the booth day after day at this point tryna find triple entendres?

id be perfectly happy to do my thing, and come to studios to chill and scope out the next nikkas up, soak up the vibe without havin to try to keep up with all these new nikkas tryna sound like each other and the fickle ass internet complaining about my mixtape dropping at 4:25 PM instead of 4:20

I agree, but it would be too bad if MCHG turns out to be his last album. I'd love to hear Jay do one last album where the whole vibe is like that Pete Rock track from Watch the Throne, chill vibe reminiscing on his life and his career. Would be the perfect way to end it, but it's just a fools hope I guess :to:

we're basically witnessing the first legends that retire from rap because of age.hov and dre between their last two albums they shot 1 video so you can imagine how hard they're trying to push their product nowadays. they gave us a lot and even though this feels bittersweet i still hope for some kind of input from them.

nas is 4 years from his last release so after this one im guessing he's gonna be next.

even though i'd be curious to hear some old man rap since nobody managed to have any relevancy in their 50s 60s 70s as the genre is younger than others if they'd be wack it's probably for the best

WE'RE ALL GETTING OLDER BRETHERENS :sadbron:

Magna Carta might of been the final straw, you know he was struggling to find what to rap about when he made that Tom Ford track. i wouldn't mind some freestyles & some unreleased songs from him at this point.
