How often have these two clowns, praised and shined a spot light on prominent, positive black leaders in the community? Hell, members of the congressional black caucus aren't even allowed to set foot near the nikka, god forbid a photographer happen to accidentally capture one of them in a picture with Obama. But no, instead they make it a point to hang out with a high school dropout and a ex-drug dealer king pin. Its disgusting. They won't go and visit the black leasers at the NAACP convention, but they'll be sure to carve out an appointment for Jay Z at the 40/40 club. Thereby legitimizing the claim that being a "baller" is the way to go, because you can hang with the fukking president! Because the president sure isn't hanging around the poor folk!

These guys have done everything in their power to ignore the black community, yet when they do decide to speak to the "black people" in America, its some fukking patronizing lecture about why were fukking up. She nor her husband surprisingly never have anything to say bad to say about other groups though. Nope, because in their eyes those groups are perfect. Its only the black people that need to be lectured to, over and over again, on the national stage. And it won't matter anyways. Black folk already used to being abused and humiliated in public, so I'm sure they'll take it in stride.

Its disgusting and I'm sick of it. Instead of these insulting lectures, why won't she work to help stabilize the black family? Like removing mandatory minimums and working to decriminalize drugs. Those two moves alone could do wonders for stabilizing the family unit. But im sure its much easier to act as a gutter snipe and make snide comments about blacks from the comforts of the white house.

I'm confused. In your post you said nobody is mentioning it but Jay-Z. I post people, who last month on the same message board your posting on mentioned him being a drug dealer in a negative connotation, and you say it doesn't matter

Chris martin doesn't really know jay like that though...he knows of his past, and compares it to who he met after the fame, when jay goes to record an album he's not at the 40/40 mingling with celebs, he's in his own head, his own space where none of that shyt is forgotten or hidden.

I mean using myself as example people in my own family, known me my whole life, know enough about me to give a good description and yet they STILL don't know me...the shyt I dream about, the memories i'm attached to don't make their way into conversation, not even with my closest friends. If/when I start recording, I'd have more of a reason to actually put those things out there, if not have it be the general theme to my expression.

And for the record I don't get the vibe that Jay is honoring his past. I get the vibe that he's Al Bundy still talking about playing football in highschool. He ties the "I used to be a drug dealer" shyt into everything he says.

That's the point, he's pulling an Al Bundy because that's what sticks with him, difference between him and Al is he has to relive the "glory" of football because it was the only thing good in his life prior to getting shacked up with that beehive headed ass broad and have to dumb fukks for kids, it was his escape.

While i'm sure jay has had some good times being a dope boy by his own accord, there is trauma there, before during and after, that shyt is scarred into his brain. What part of my first sentence didn't you understand? You're using a message board as proof that people are talking about it. No shyt, people are talking about literally anything on a message board. Pick a topic, and I guarantee I can find a conversation about it somewhere on the internet. Does that mean it holds some kind of significance, or is widely discussed? Hell no.

Breh, my point is the only reason Jay is getting a pass is because he's a rapper. If any other old head was constantly pressing up on your trying to tell you about some shyt that happened 30 years ago, eventually you'd tell them "ok, enough with that shyt".
