I'm goin with "In Decatur"....both the original and the Earth Wind and Fire remix.

"OOH-AHH...Ghetto MA......FEEYA..."
That's the song that really got me into their music:whew: Record store was out of Straight From The Dec, but they had the On da Grind that was just released and I had just heard the Ghetto Mafia song

It's one of those cuts I remember bein' played in the record store in the hood on a Saturday.

I get nostalgic and sad. Sad because those record stores don't really exist anymore, when I foolishly thought they'd always be around

Ah man. People rushing to get the latest cassette or CD as soon as the doors open. Those places were staples back in the day.

It was just something about those times that this generation will never understand.

People like to talk about convenience with these streaming apps, but it was at the expense of those mom n pop record shops.

The skit after Outkast's Return of the G brings back memories when I listen to it.

I'm surprised anyone outside of GA would even remember Ghetto Mafia.

When is the last time anyone even thought of them.

You ain't using the flow, let someone else hold it.

I skipped school for the Doggystyle album. My scary ass bad ass cousin from Chicago caught the Greyhound, bought a bike from Kmart and we rode up to the record store in the rain.

Good times:mjcry:

Rap City classic.

Honesty don’t think I’ve heard it outside of that context until I played it on some nostalgic shyt once streaming came along…but that shyt is forever etched in my memory from the how every many months the video was in rotation on Rap City

One of my favorite tracks of that era, from any hip-hop artists. (the OG. The EWF remix was cool but lacked the flava of the original.)

I fukked with Ghetto Mafia, and I was heavy on my underground/east coast/backpack shyt at the time.
