Parents should not let some media personality dictate what they should be doing when raising a child. The consequences fall squarely on the parents, not the talking head.
My pops didn’t whoop me at all and it’s because he didn’t have to. He was a big 6’2 breh with a deep commanding voice like James Earl Jones. He threatened to whoop me several times, but never had to actually take it there because just raising his voice was enough to get me to straighten up
Now my mom on the other hand… she had to whoop my ass.![]()
Do people even whoop their kids now? I haven’t seen that shyt in years but I have seen many bad ass kids running around causing problems

Or perhaps maybe not being disciplined appropriately is more to the reason why they're in prison. Is "spanking" the one and only way to discipline a child? What about all the children who don't end up in prison who were never whooped when they were a child?

We are probably at a point where spanking is no longer a conventional way of punishing children. So, her stating isn't really out of pocket.
This doesn't work like you think it does.As opposed to all the kids who got spankings that aren’t in jail?
Are we really using the American prison industrial complex as a barometer of how effective corporal punishment is as a disciplinary tool?
