That argument is always so ridiculous to me. They never had to switch teams because their GMs/front office were competent/lucky enough to put talent around them.
Why would MJ ever want to leave Pippen & Rodman? Why would Bird ever want to leave McHale or Parrish? Why would Magic ever want to leave Kareem or Worthy?
No one wins without multiple HOFers :snoop:
Because they were all the #1 option there.

Garnett left because he can't do it on his own. He's the pippen and rodman...Mchale and Parrish. He does the leaving. He's a great number two guy

That response wasn't specifically for KG, but for great players in general. All #1 options need great talent around them to win

Off the court, he brought a class-action lawsuit against the league that led to free agency and increased salaries, and he also served as president of the NBA Players Association.

Oscar suing the league is something many people forget. Another aspect of the lawsuit was that trainers supposedly didn't travel on the road and follow players, meaning they weren't attended to and taken care of as well as players today are. Chris Webber's interview with Oscar Robertson touches on this and more.

On a side note, talking about sports is big business and a serious matter. I just got negged 10 points for "supposedly trying to be slick and make my own top 10 list." My opening post has 15 players named and asking if Dirk is better than any, since I think he's more a top 15 to top 20 player. How that's being slick and trying to create my own top 10 list in a slick manner is beyond me.

I wouldn't say top 10 all time, but the day he has to hang em up is going to be one of the saddest days in sports here in DFW.

Dallas by way of Houston by way of San Antonio

What has a guy like Kobe legitimately done on his own though? Post-Shaq and pre-Gasol, he was KG in Minnesota status. And people don't shyt on him like they do KG. Unless you're part of the crowd that considers Kobe to be Pippen status as well.

Note: As a Duncan stan, I hate KG, so this is the only time I'll :cape: for him in this thread :abel:

Except for Duncan in 03 :smugboris:
Is that the year Rasheed Wallace lost the finals for Detroit? Also the same year Duncan played like shyt for 4-5 games? The same year Bob Horry hit a game winning shot because of Sheed's stupidity? That was '05 I think.
