:snoop: you not too good at counting are you?
how may dudes on a bball team 15 max. how many dudes on a baseball team like 18-20 or something. now how many are on a gameday roster for the nfl, 53. plus practice squad cats, plus dudes who got cut and are free agents.

Not to mention NFL players only play 16 games, as opposed to NBA and NHL playing 82 with MLB 162.

Two different sports. Two different cultures. Two different ways of building teams. One is diva based and the other is team based. Basketball is a team sport that is driven by individuals. Football is a team sport where pieces are supposed to be easily replaceable because players can be injured a lot quicker. The elite is both sports are paid well for their sport, but the role players are treated differently based on the nature of the sport. A mid-tier QB/RB/WR ain't gonna make a lot of fuss about his contract because they'll find another cog to fit in and cover up for their shortcomings.

Look at how Baltimore paid Flacco, but told Anquan to take a pay cut. Anquan took the same stance as Jennings and the Ravens cut his ass. It ain't cause the NBA got real nikkas being hip to shyt. Latrell Spreewell bluffed his dumb ass right out of the NBA over money. Javale McGee is dumber than a bottle opener, but he'll got paid because that's how shyt works in the NBA

Young athletes today and so much more bosses than athletes past.

:manny:

Athletes of yesteryear didn't have the leverage these guys have in the NBA now...

You were forced into 8 year deals back in the 80s

You really didn't have the option to make demands like cats today.

If Jordan and them could have got a 3 year deal with an option for a 4th, you would have seen him and Patrick Ewing playing together..Trust

they play 82 games in a nice warm arena. NFL players play in all types of conditions, and plus they put their bodies on the line.

The NFL made $9.5 BILLION in revenue in 2012. That's almost $2 BILLION more than the MLB($7.7B) and over twice as much as the NBA($4.3B), And despite that, there's still a HUGE disparity in player salaries. The average value of an NFL team is $1.04 BILLION. We're talking the biggest sport in America. The players are vastly underpaid.

NFL and NBA get almost the same percentage of revenue.

The reason why NBA players make more on average is because there's only 15 per roster vs. 53 for the NFL.

NFL players agreed to reduce their share of league revenue from 50 percent to 47 percent, and NBA players agreed to reduce from 57 percent to a 49 to 51 percent range. MLB has no salary cap, but players have historically received a percentage similar to what NFL and NBA players are now receiving.

47% of 9.5 billion > 49-51% of 4.3 billion

Brandon Jennings was taken out of the Milwaukee Bucks' game against the Philadelphia 76ers early in the third quarter after Jrue Holiday beat him on a drive to the basket.

Jennings didn't play the rest of the way as the 76ers topped the Bucks 100-92 on Wednesday night. He was held scoreless for the first time in his NBA career, going 0-for-3 in 17 minutes.

"This is the third time I've been benched in the second half and it hasn't been under (former coach Scott) Skiles," Jennings said after the game. "You always want to be out there to help your team.

"I don't see any all-stars in this locker room so I think everybody should be held accountable, like anybody else. There's no maxed-out players in this locker room; there's no all-stars. So don't try to put me on a pedestal and just give everybody else the freedom to do whatever they want."

Jennings added that he feels as though he's being singled out.

"Of course," he said. "This is the third time this has happened. We had a sluggish start but we still had a chance to win it. It was there for us to take."

The Bucks host the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday night.

"It's up to him whether he's going to put me in the game or not," Jennings said, referring to coach Jim Boylan. "Just go with the flow."
:pachaha: Damn the Bucks are such a shytty franchise, management has to be the worst.

Honestly, in this instance I'd let him walk or trade him, he's not worth what he's asking and they'd be better off with another PG.

Yea, I like Jennings, I think he is talented, but he isn't worth it with the way he has been playing lately and the way he has been talking. But, :manny: I see Cuban giving Jennings a near max deal, he would be a good fit there, probably the only realistic fit for him. I'm still :snoop: at the Bucks trading away Harris, I remember in the summer league and earlier this season when he went off vs. the Celtics, he is a really nice scorer. So, :ehh: maybe he can break out like that?
