Polynesian history is so interesting wats the difference between a Tongan and a Samoan ?

It actually is interesting as hell. You should look up the history of Melanesians. One of the oldest African diaspora in the world.

Modern Tongans/Samoans/Hawaiians/Maori are close genetically but not culturally. They had to be master sea farers to even interact with each other back in the day. One other thing that I learned that was interesting was the original people on the island of Taiwan were actually related to these people.

They even starting to dig up genetic links between Pacific people and Native Americans.
