Kids and teens don't have many spaces anymore PERIOD, not just music. Capitalism and helicopter parenting (which society enforces so you can't even be hands off if you want to outside of big cities like NYC)

And millennials refusing to grow up and taking up room :pachaha:

JD is right. Our parents had The Jackson 5 & The Sylvers when they were young, we had New Edition, Hi Five, Troop, etc.
Today's kids current musical choices are a steady stream of sex, drugs, murder, and ratchetness.
The kids today could definitely use some more age-appropriate music.

:ehh:

Keeping it funky, Jaden Smith is one of my favorite rappers (pause if necessary), he makes that kind of music…it’s definitely more that than the toxic poisonous shhit yall/we love. Everybody thinks he’s soft and/or sweet tho, 😆…rightfully so, he be on bs

Is this not that?

both willow & jaden could be top billing

i think the industry is hesitant to deal with them being black children with two parents that are professional entertainers

they will not get got with the contract finesse

A big part of this is because homegrown boy bands aren't popular in North America anymore. They used to be popular in the 1980s, 1990s, 2000s, and even the early 2010s.

Many people trashed boy bands during those times, and that's why they faded away.

So basically we need to reverse appropriate K-pop lol

I mean that's the formula. Just look at what they're doing and do it better/more naturally. Might lack the novelty to catch on RIGHT away but I think anybody who can put together plays along those lines will make progress toward filling this void.

If there was a black version of that k pop demon hunters shyt it would probably go nuts.

Yup it's been that way for years now it seems like you jump from kid to full on adult with no in between...it's everything within the culture from fashion, music, TV and to even how some of these young people talk..and what they do.
The sad part is Pandora's box has been open for far to long to go back.

Facts. Don’t they both have situations with Roc Nation? I’m not sure tho.

I seen them Live in Philly a few years ago with my kid, they are super talented…especially Willow, she sounds just as pitch perfect on stage live as she does on record, crazy. Both pretty good guitar players too, again, especially Willow. I can tell they got the best training and all that. Will popped out at the show, shhit was craaaaaaaaaaziness.
